Do anyone have a list of all the players out in Austria - just saw this and looks like a few unfamiliar faces (or different hair cuts) |

Even if it was disallowed, we were still 3-2 up and it was the 90th min so very good chance we still won the game and went up |

Just seen that he’s signed for Bristol City - nice to see a lad from the Peninsula getting a move like that but do some of our yoof watchers know why we released him and should we have picked him back up again ? [Post edited 23 Jan 2024 21:01]

Damn - what a lot of nonsense Correct decision that women’s autonomy should be decided at state level is spoken like a true old, white bigoted conservative man - why on earth should women be treated differently in different states of what is supposed to be the most advanced country in the world - that is Taliban style thinking And as for the fact that the president can be put into power because of an antiquated system is just right cos - well that’s nonsense too - things have changed over the years - originally black people only counted as a three fifths of a person and women couldn’t vote - now they managed to find a way to change those eventually [Post edited 15 Jan 2024 18:32]

There is so much wrong here that it’s hard to know where to start But let’s start the ‘the election was rigged but legalally’ - the whole system out here is rigged - a voter in Wyoming has far more power than anyone in California or New York - Gerrymandering from both sides means that millions of votes don’t count - but the biggest thing is that Trump was elected last time (and could be elected again) with less votes than his opponent |
 | Forum Thread | Chaplin, Broadhead, Morsy and Leif Davis at 18:07 30 Nov 2023
Seeing how these guys (and others) have adapted to the way that McKenna wants them to play and really look like top class Championship Players shows just how important it was to pick them up while we were in League 1 You watch how they are playing now - with their passing & movement and you feel that the game time that they got in League 1 has really helped - Millwall yesterday, as well as other teams we have played are trying to do that ‘build out of the back’ but just don’t have the right players to do it Not sure due to age that Chaplin and Morsy would go for big money but can see the likes of Davis and Broadhead playing in the Prem next year even if we aren’t (which at the moment I am confident we will) |

Claims on social media that the player, who was at Portman Road today, was close to signing but had an issue with a Town medical are wide of the mark. |

We live down the road from Inter Miami so very excited to get the change to take my daughter watch the GOAT play In terms of quality the MLS is very poor - it doesn't have the speed of the Premier League or the aggression of the Championship - Ipswich would beat most clubs out here comfortably if they played in the league Messi has come in and his game is far superior to most of those on the field - the defenders don't know where to back off or push up - either way Messi beats them for skill and thought - if they double team him that leaves a player free and he has exploited this as well - the addition of Busquets, Alba and Iniesta will also give him some great outlets Will be fun for US fans to get to watch him but am sure he could still do a job in the top leagues if he wanted to |

That’s brilliant - loved Battle Chess back in the day Ipswich actually used to be a big Chess town - I remember playing in tournaments back in the late 80s in the Corn Exchange where there were over 300 kids. The Pert twins were a little bit younger than me but remember how good they were Can’t see the harm in putting some money into the game - my daughter plays it online with some of her friends |

I thought Tyler Walker would have been a great signing a couple of season ago when he was doing well at Lincoln but looks like his career has tailed off a bit |

Yes, based down in Florida now having moved out here in 2014. My daughter plays travel soccer out here and is really excited as we are heading back to the UK next week and will be going to the Wycombe game which will be her first Ipswich game ever |

There are a lot of problems out here with the policing system in general 1. A lot of it comes down to jobs for the boys - policing provides a good salary for those that don’t really need to be highly educated. In a lot of the smaller towns the guys that finished on the High School (American) Football teams are often the Knuckleheads that are recruited 2. Training basically consists of being told that ‘they’ are out to get you - everyone is armed and wants to kill you - if you go into every stop thinking this then obviously the adrenaline pumps and you make bad decisions - you are also taught to be the aggressor from the get-go in order to intimidate. 3. There is a serious gun/drug/racism problem here in the states which creates for a bad environment for all - I didn’t realize just how racist this country was until I got here - basically in some places it is still a crime to drive whilst black 4. Any effort to control guns is hijacked by the right as an assault on the constitution - the right don’t have any solutions other than more guns and locking more people up (which is handy for them as most are in the pockets of the private prison lobbyists who make more money from more criminals) 5. Any effort to move money any from militising the police and channel it into social work is seen and marketed as ‘defunding the police’ which is again another right wing scare tactic 6. The police force over here is basically run under mob rules - if you so much as make a complaint against another officer then you will be drummed out of the force Overall the system needs a complete overall but this won’t happen in an America that is deeply polarized between right and left [Post edited 28 Jan 2023 12:05]

 | Forum Reply | Biden - thoughts at 13:13 17 Oct 2022
Out of touch with what is acceptable by todays norms but hardly walking through the changing rooms at Miss World or boasting about grabbing women by the pussy The faux outrage that the right show when these sorts of things happen (see Al Franken) is ridiculous when their guys do a lot worse. Do I think Biden is a great President, no. But he was exactly what the US (and to be honest the rest of the World) needed after the previous 5 years. Personally I hope he doesn’t run again as he isn’t going to be up for another 5 years but problem for the Dems is there really isn’t a natural replacement - Buttigeig would make a great President but a lot of the Blue Collar Dems that still vote Dem just won’t vote for him |
 | Forum Reply | Most disappointing ITFC signings? at 15:50 25 Aug 2022
My first thought was Stuart Slater as he was the first player I remember getting excited about. Priskin, Paul Taylor, Bullard (perm), Parkin and Karic never lived up to expectations for sure I would also add in the likes of Steven Taylor, Nathan Ellington, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Aaron Mclean - we got all of these guys well after the had past their prime but you always hoped that they could discover that magic |
 | Forum Reply | Lindsay Graham this morning advocating end of interracial marriage in USA at 03:13 8 Aug 2022
The irony of Clarence Thomas (mixed race) and Lindsey Graham (Gay - allegedly) not advocating for protection of the sanctity of these types of marriage should not be lost on anyone - just like the Senator that voted against protecting Gay Marriage when his son is gay America right now is in danger of allowing the Christian Fundamentalists to start making some pretty horrific decisions - a poor showing in November could give them the Supreme Court, House and maybe even Senate (although thanks to a couple of Trumps picks that is less likely) which will be horrible for minorities and the marginalized |
 | Forum Reply | Recession in USA at 20:03 28 Jul 2022
The issues around the 'recession' out here are far more complex than blaming Biden - in fact there is very little he could have done - especially with the country coming back from a world pandemic ! Big businesses out here - including the hospitality, travel and fuel companies took one hell of a beating out here during Covid - they are now clawing back as much of this as they can. The fact most of these industries are monopolies allows price collusion. Add in the fact that Russia invaded Ukraine also has a massive inpact on fuel prices which seem to be the main driver for peoples concerns Biden is pretty symbolic as a president simply because the Senate is a 50/50 split - giving too much power to the likes of Manchin & Simena - they have managed to water down a number of the proposals that the Democrates (and therefore Biden) would have put in place - McConnell is sticking to his usual plan to make the Democratic President look bad by refusing to co-operate for the good of the country The fact is right now there are still plenty of jobs out here in the US and although they aren't particularity well paid it still allows workers to have some power as to whether they accept them or not - something that rarely happens within a recession |
