TWTD Questionnaire 2021/22

Q54 Were Town right to change manager in December?

A somewhat overwhelming vote of confidence in the decision to sack Paul Cook with what might have seemed at the time undue haste. But with hindsight Cook wasn't a good fit for the structure being put in place by the new ownership and ultimately it was never going to work out.

Positive results might have papered over the cracks in the shorter term had they been forthcoming but they weren't and with hindsight the decision could have been taken even earlier to give the incoming boss more time in which to turn things around.

Where's the "he should have gone in November" option? :) No seriously though, here's to KMac and the new season. Onwards and upwards this year...

We must not forget that Wes Burns, Bersant Celina, Macauley Bonne Conor Chaplin, George Edmundson, Cameron Burgess and Sam Morsy were all Paul Cook recruits so he did something right!

Nice for some us who received constant abuse from some quarters about our opinion of Cook to feel vindicated.
