TWTD Questionnaire 2023/24 Q11 Town goal of the year?
In a lot of other seasons, Jeremy Sarmiento's winnner against Southampton might have won it simply for its drama, despite not being a beautiful goal per se.
But this season we had Wes Burns's trivela. A goal so brilliant that I saw it on a Twitter thread of great goals posted by a Barcelona fan the other day, a truly viral effort which is another which deserves a panel on the back of the Sir Bobby Robson Stand. One of the all-time great Town goals, not just for the strike itself, of course, but for the 13-pass build-up.
The performance in the home game against Hull was probably the best of the season with the Burns and Conor Chaplin goals both superb, the latter also typifying the stunning football the Blues play under McKenna.

The Burns trivela happened infront of the South stand, so won't be seeing that on a panel. It's definitely worthy of some longevity recognition though. | | | You need to login in order to post your comments
