TractorFrog added 21:45 - Oct 19 Chaplin and Edmundson were our two standout players. Impressed also with Donacien, Evans, Aluko and Bonne. Nobody played badly (for Ipswich anyway). RobsonWark added 21:55 - Oct 19 Buryblue78 added 22:44 - Oct 19 Great game from our point of view Pompy were terrible Fixed the problems from Saturday second half This has happened too many time though to get too exited yet This Saturday we'll see which Ipswich turn up Strange to look at stats Pompy had majority possession but never looked remotely like scoring until we were 4-0 up We could however have had a few more I'd consider Donacian for MOM but he played against an invisible man How did the Cowleys miss that! My MOM between Chaplin and Evans who kept the ball moving nicely and made us tick A good night all round timleatham added 08:35 - Oct 20 Was at the match and what a great result! First half was very poor for both teams with lots of displaced passes and both teams cancelling themselves out. That was until Bonne who gave 100% all night popped up out of nowhere to pinch a goal following their goalkeeper’s blunder. Second half performance from Town was amazing with everyone stepping up and playing well. The team clearly grew in confidence with the goal in the first half and Cook’s team talk. Stand out players were Aluko, Chaplin, Edmondson and Donacien. Tough one to call however I think my MOM goes to Janoi We are not suddenly world beaters and Pompey were poor. It would be great if people on this site could stay a bit more balanced as the amount of negatively following Saturday’s match was a joke. The team are developing well. Keep the faith! timleatham added 21:53 - Oct 20 Was at the match and what a great result!
