Ipswich Town 2 v 2 Norwich City FA Premier League Saturday, 16th December 2023 Kick-off 12:30 |
Robert_Garrett added 15:00 - Dec 16 A very pulsating and exciting match where both sides had highlights. City got away with a point here and put a lot of hard work and luck in stopping the top-scorers from putting the decisive one in the net. Burns was MoM and a brightest light in a volcanic game. Every time he got the ball City were in a panic. Maltster added 15:07 - Dec 16 Probably a fair result. I still feel that Wolfenden is not good enough, he slows play down when we need to be pushng forward and often plays his colleques into trouble. Broadhead should, have course scored a hat trick tractor_lady added 16:30 - Dec 16 Thought Harry Clarke was immense. Was worried he would be hot headed but I think he showed composure and maturity today long may that last Linkboy13 added 16:52 - Dec 16 Norwich looked like the poorest team we have played in the championship and should have been dead and buried after 20 minutes. We will have to be active in the transfer window and try and get a centre back otherwise i can see our automatic chances of promotion slipping away. Anyone who says a draw was a fare result must be a closet Norwich fan. Bluesky added 17:01 - Dec 16 Unlucky not to be three up in first half. We outplayed Norwich but didn't get the finishes. Some incomprehensible ref decisions - but aren't there always? Second half we wen t to sleep in the first part and they scored. Wes Burns was oddly reluctant to beat his marker to the ball at times - I wondered if he was injured - but sharp enough to shoot decisively for the equaliser. We then largely dominated and played some slick moves but again could not find a finish of the quality we have been used to. A draw seriously flatters Norwich whose players should, however, get an acting reward for injury simulation and a gymnastic award for pushing and shoving. legoman added 17:55 - Dec 16 legoman added 17:57 - Dec 16 aljames added 09:31 - Dec 17 Another good match to watch with Ipswich the better team. For once our many missed chances in the first half cost us the win. Onto the next one with confidence to overturn that home defeat by Leeds
