Disappointed but not disheartened. Liverpool deserve the points, there's no disputing that, but I saw enough today to suggest we can compete at this level. Few teams are on their level, and we could have got a point with a bit more luck. We won't always have a ref who takes 94 minutes and at least 6 mandatory yellow card offences before booking an opposition player, or one who blocks our runs and trips a player when on a promising break (I wish I was making that up!), and, most importantly, we won't play teams that good every week. Next week has to be easier... who have we got again?

So many players played out of their skins. Walton in goal. Leif on Salah. Greaves is superb. Morsy and luongo solid. Chappers chasing paper across the field. Omari skills. Delap turns are excellent.

Yes Liverpool turned it on 2nd half and in five minutes killed the game off around the hour. But we more than held our own.

Crowd was excellent. Liverpool a bit quiet from the west stand near the North. I thought their fans were supposed to be loud

Great first half by ipswich. Referee clearly favoring the away team. Got tired Liverpool scored 2. Note their fans were quieter than Fleetwood.

Good agressive first half but energy dipped in 2nd half & Liverpool showed their superior class with more space & less challenges from Town. Positives from the performances of Walton, Greaves, Hutchinson & Delap plus the introduction of the new bloods in future games should stabilise Town & hopefully promise some results in the coming weeks.

The ref booking our three players early was the major factor as they faced a second card if stepped out of line

Great first half. Enjoyed the game and fantastic atmosphere. We held our own for a good while, hopeful for the season ahead!
