Of all these apparent 'big' bids made by MM... 21:21 - Jan 27 with 3513 viewsITFCGloryDays

We have a non league striker from Forest Rovers for £10,000, the midfielder from Leeds on a 6 month loan deal, Steve Taylor from the MLS on a 6 month deal, Danny Rowe for £100,000 and Jordan Spence on a temporary contract.
So we're in with all these 'big' bids with none of them seemingly coming to fruition, whilst very obviously we're shopping more so in the bargain basement.
Hmmm, 🐖. Something doesn't seem all right...??

how realistic are these "big bids" ?

pointless bidding 1 million for a player valued at 2 or 3 million

Agreed, a 7 figure bid is meaningless unless we know the target and can see it's realistic.

If any or all of those can improve the squad, where's the problem? Not like we've blown £1.7m on someone who turns out to be useless.

They aren't all going to be like that though. I wouldn't say 24 is that young either.

I'd suggest it's more pointless spending £3m on a player who is only worth £1m.

The strikers we've been linked with are not decent and proven for more than a few months at this level and their value seems to have trebled since the start of the month.

You forget a lot of fans just want the club to spend a few million irrelevant the player is any good, its all about spending money

do you think our "bargain basement" approach will add the much needed quality to the first team squad ?

if it doesn't, this type of approach to transfers makes no sense whatsoever

Worked in the past well enough.

Paying millions does not guarantee quality either, far less to loose and more to gain this way.
