Marathon Blog #1 on 21:11 - Apr 16 with 2817 views | vapour_trail | Nice one. A lad in my team nearly took his life as a teen and recently and courageously became a case study for a suicide campaign we ran for young males through work. He found excercise as his route to control. I appreciate its different for everyone. Good luck with the training man, and keep the blog linked.

That's fantastic that he could turn such a dark situation into something which benefits others. That is what I want to do, for what it's worth. Thanks mate. [Post edited 16 Apr 2017 21:15]

I don't think he likes me either but concur he's doing a good thing and will donate at least something nearer the time. Very good cause and fantastic personal effort too. Well done unbelievablue.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Comfort zone in terms of the run? Oh come now, I'm not THAT mean.

Really? Apologies if I've come across as so disagreeable. I'm actually quite amiable. I must make an effort to be nicer! And thanks.

Marathon Blog #1 on 07:53 - Apr 17 with 2682 views | TLA | What a great blog and such a good thing you're doing. Using the challenge to also talk about your own experiences is every bit as impressive as the marathon itself. I've spoken to a few people at the club about having a presence at the FanZone next year with a men's mental health campaign - if it happens and you could join us, we could do some fundraising for you and awareness raising for the campaign. Suffolk has just been chosen as one of 4 national hubs for the Time to Change anti-stigma campaign, which you mention in your blog. There could be some mutually beneficial stuff with their work and a town fan doing what you are.

Thank you. Sure, no problem, more than happy to be involved in anything like that and will gladly contribute to the planning. Drop me a PM if anything materializes or if you need a hand. I am hoping to get something in the EADT (I know a journo there) and also in my South London paper. I stress though that despite using my story as the vehicle, it's not about me, rather it's about helping, in any small way, the millions of others who feel that they can't speak out.

I will PM you about a couple of things. I do understand that you're doing what you are for other people but it won't stop me applauding you for doing it! This afternoon there might be 25,000 people in the ground - statistically that means more than 6,000 there will have experienced a mental health problem. Almost everyone else will know someone who has. People like you, helping people talk about the issue, are complete legends to me.
