Sam Allardyce is the anti-Ipswich and is evil incarnate. He must never be allowed to sit at the desk where so many good and great men have sat before him.

Don't get me wrong, I can't stand the bloke, and I remember the Bolton playoff, but he is a good manager (imho). But I agree he's not right for Ipswich (not that I think he'd take the job even if offered it).
manager vacancy on 12:08 - May 16 with 3655 views | Radlett_blue | The only good thing about appointing Allardyce would be that the team could come out to "Sam's Town" by the Killers. But don't worry, it's well beneath his dignity to come & manage Ipswich.

Decent manager? I can accept that (although not his methods), but in what ways is he better than Mick who you were slagging off earlier? I'm confused... [Post edited 16 May 2018 12:16]

manager vacancy on 12:12 - May 16 with 3628 views | Bad_Boy_Mark | I imagine the club are looking for someone different to Sam at this stage. I am of the opinion that his appointment would be universally unpopular amongst the fans, and could possibly result in fewer ticket sales and possibly season ticket cancellations.

A down vote from the OP but no answer. I genuinely would like to know the 'thinking' behind your assertion.

manager vacancy on 20:24 - May 16 with 3114 views | Kentish_Tractor | Allardyce is a fire-fighter. He's the sort of manager you appoint when your club is in turmoil and you need to steady the ship, FAST. Tony Pulis is another example, and so too was Mick McCarthy to a lesser extent and also Neil Warnock until this season. We are not in that sort of position where we need a fire-fighter. We need a progressive manager like the two current favourites to pick us up.
