I don't doubt that that PH is insecure, there's enough coming out to make it sound less than iseal within the club.
What I always struggle with when it comes to rumours like this is that we have an owner who is bordering on recluse. certainly plays his cards very close to his chest and avoid the limelight, for this to be true would mean that he has both said this to someone and they have then repeated it to a wider audience.
I could well believe that Evans is prepared to pull the plug, but would he really tell anybody that? Would that person then relay the information? |  |

We’re getting so far into the season now though that we need both serious points *and* performances to show the plan is back on track. Even if we draw today we’ll only have six points from 10 games. Realistically that means 40-odd points at least will be required from the remaining 36 games to give ourselves any chance of staying up.
As every game goes by, it becomes tougher and tougher to pick up the points required. Even if we win tomorrow, we need to get points from our next two games too.
Last season, Sunderland drew 16 matches and won 7, went down bottom with 37 points. At the moment, even if we snatch a win today, that’s looking like the pattern of our season.
My worry is who are we going to beat? We’ve already played some of the obvious games we might have expected to win... |  |
