Have we discussed QT yet? 09:36 - Sep 27 with 8911 views | Bluefish | Gina Miller is absolute class. Isn't it incredible how she stands out so far by just dealing with facts. If anyone is still in denial at the way the country is behind Boris then you need to wake up. Keeping on saying how disgusting he is (whilst being true) is only strengthening him. He is steam rolling his way into a position where he has all of the cards. It is time to wake up and start rallying with counter arguments and facts opposed to focusing on the fact he is a slime ball. The country needs to deal in facts and sadly labour have badly let us down by not trying to take on the tories. A peoples vote is the only way of resolving this utter shambles. 2 questions on the paper Do you wish to remain yes or no If no wins do you wish to leave with no deal or May's deal (or another if agreed in time) [Post edited 27 Sep 2019 9:39]

Have we discussed QT yet? on 11:22 - Sep 27 by flimflam | I am sure having Slovakia's et all elite troops in the trenches with us will be of a great help. |
By et all (sic) do you mean, Germany, Italy and France? I’d say they’d be fairly useful allies, the French alone are at least as powerful militarily as we are.

Smaller countries have awful militaries, that much should be obvious. I mean, just look at Nepal lol.

Have we discussed QT yet? on 10:23 - Sep 27 by mattelliot | We have already had a peoples vote - the outcome was leave. What we need is a General Election to give a party a majority in the house so they can just get on with it - Labour won't support this because the Lib Dems are taking votes away from them and could lead to a Conservative win. |
Your problem is that if a party campaigns on remain and wins then we have to remain.

I dunno, she seems to have got more done in the last 2 years than 3 tory leaders have combined.

The audience member who said "and you're not helping!" made me laugh. The idiot.

Have we discussed QT yet? on 14:47 - Sep 27 by eireblue | But you do have a vote for the UK Government, and you do have a vote for the EU parliament. You have no say in the governance of NATO. So you seem to not understand that Slovenia and the UK are both in NATO, and yes could fight side by side, and that decision would be made by Slovenia, today. Worse than that, the US is part of NATO, you have no control or democratic input into US decisions re: NATO. A European only equivalent of NATO, would arguably be more democratic and representative than NATO is today. So I think your objection seems to me to be based on emotion and a degree of ignorance, rather than anything else. Based on your postings so far. |
Being a majority military power within the EU, we'd be one of the key players in charge also I suspect?

Have we discussed QT yet? on 21:43 - Sep 27 with 1398 views | Trequartista | I absolutely agree with your referendum position as I have outlined on here before. Remain must >50% to win, and if it doesn't the highest Leave option wins. I would also stipulate in law that the result is implemented the next door to ensure this is a final referendum and not another referendum until we get the result we want.

Have we discussed QT yet? on 10:39 - Sep 27 by mattelliot | Calling the outcome of the largest vote in British politics pathetic? Interesting. If the original ballot paper had a third option of "leave with deal" I am certain it would be a different story/outcome - public had a choice and voted leave. Simply calling for a peoples vote because remainers are not happy with the outcome should be out of the question, however, politics changes on a daily basis at the moment... |
I’ve said it time and time again but no one seems to listen. No deal should be off the table as Vote Leave ( the official campaign) specifically ruled out no deal so there’s absolutely no mandate for it. If people want no deal they need another referendum.
