Have checked with the club and that opponent not confirmed. Another club was the one which was expected for that date. These things are set up by third parties which can lead to a bit of miscommunication. Kieran said Austria was all but confirmed at the end of the season.

I did mention it to someone at the club a while back as I assume it wasn't something they'd know about but will mention it to MA personally at some point. Can see him viewing it as a challenge! No pre-season friendly at home this summer anyway, but might be worth looking at for next year.

I don't think he did from what I recall of the case. Think he was bailed while the appeal went through, as you say.

The deal was for two friendlies, they actually came over and played the first one when we were in the Championship, so not beyond the realms of possibility another one can be arranged I would have thought.

Derek Bowden did take it along those lines, went to FIFA over it to get the first one played. Simon Clegg was taking a similar approach regarding the second one but nothing got sorted before he left and Ian Milne didn't see the point in pursuing it.

Dodgy keeper - decent shot stopper, awful in the air, which is pretty important in the prem and championship.

I think they were desperate to do anything which made it look like it wasn't a free transfer, Sereni having been the biggest fee paid.
