How come it was 10's a week back antepost. Was there a chance it might run in a different race?

I think it's because there were lots of other horses in the betting. Once the final field was confirmed there was less competition.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but Cheltenham has lost much of it's appeal since the move to 4 days. Plently run of the mill races these days (mares only, novice handicaps) but more importantly the quality has been seriously diluted so many of the "championship" races seem to have much smaller fields & an odds-on favourite, usually trained by Wille Mullins.

Just wait til they go to 5 days with the Gold Cup run on the Saturday. Racecourse here have been suggesting that for a while now.

….I’ve stopped going and bet very little on it now. Today is basically: Pick the winner of the Coral Cup and stick it in a multiple with the Mullins dead certs. A fairly pointless exercise.

100%. They are selling out the 4 days, at high prices, so economically it makes sense to add a 5th day. Like many sporting occasions, it's now attracting a lot of people whom I'm sure just want to be at the "event" & don't really care what it costs.

With each passing years I dislike this week a little bit more. Massively overhyped. Anyway... 1515 Langer Dan EW @ 7.5 (Sky, 8 places) 1650 Saint Roi EW @ 7 (Sky, 6 places)

1:30 - Facile Vega 9/4 (am on antepost at decent prices but still think he’s the value here in a poor race) 2:10 - Farouk Dalene 16/1 e/w & Icare Allen 9/1 e/w 2:50 - Envoi Allen 11/4 3:30 - Teahupoo 13/8 & Flooring Porter e/w 12/1 4:10 - Crebilly 9/2 4:50 - Am on both of the top two antepost but Brighterdaysahead should win imo. Evens. 5:30 - Inothewayurthinkin 11/4 (NAP) Main bets today are Facile Vega, Teahupoo, Crebilly & Inothewayurthinkin. Am nearly at the track. Good luck all with your bets.

In the last 20 years I could count on 1 hand the amount of times I’ve put on bets… this time last year, and today take up 2 of those… both based on what you’ve posted on here 😂 Think I lost £3 last year, and I’ve just stuck £5 on a few accas based on you post. Let you know the crack later 👍👍

Amazing how subjective picking a good bet in horses must be. I have paid £200 for my tips from the betting emporium like I always do and not a single tip of yours matches his, which is probably good for you if his tips for the first 2 days are anything to go by!
