Weird bunch, aren't they. Of course we struggle at times against the parachute teams - we're a side put together in L1 and have a fraction of the money they've got. But what we do well is make the most of what we have and never give up - and they hate that for some reason. They have no idea how entitled they come across.
As for all this deflected goals bollox, lol. Yeah, 3 really lucky deflected strikes yesterday

That Sarmiento goal was real quality. Quite outrageous he had the state of mind in the 97th minute under pressure to roll it back to give himself an extra half a yard and then poke it into the corner rather than slashing at it. | | | |

With the others, there's no denying we were second-best for spells of the games, but we stayed strong and stayed in the game, then came again. Nothing wrong with that - we can't dominate every minute of every game, especially against legally financially doped clubs with squads worth £100m+. | |

A bit more than against the rest of the league imo. We certainly struggled first half yesterday. We struggled against Leeds, we struggled in the first half of our away match at Leicester. But overall in terms of results, I'm very happy with that set. | |

£211M in Leicester's case, if Transfermkt is in any way accurate. £206M for Leeds and £190M for S'ton. £50M for us (that's generous, presumably based on our growth this season). it's all pretty notional in terms of specific vales, but no doubting those three have way more resources at their disposal than any other team in the league.

Yesterday and in both Leicester games we stayed in the match and trusted that we'd be able to get something out of the game as it wore on. Would have been easy to over commit when we went behind and get picked off on the counter. Sensible game management and we've affected all 3 of those games with fresh legs. | | | |

Some of it is a form of jealousy.
Our squad is performing way above their presumed level virtually all the time. Theirs can never exceed the expected standard, only drop below.
Our manager is not only tactically astute and flexible, but also unafraid to make maximum use of substitutions. Their own managers unwillingness to do that last being a frequent grumble of Leeds, Leicester and Soton forum posters when things don't go well for them. | |

Fk em, all 3 of these parachute teams have a sense of entitlement, they don't even realise how salty they sound, on one hand they claim how great they are, on the other they can't shake of a recently promoted League One team.
Get your own house in order if you want to get promoted, we're here for the ride, if any one of these teams doesn't get promoted then then they will get picked off like a carcass at the end of the season.

I love this idea that the League is on our side and trying to get us promoted.
I mean, they *could* instruct refs to give red cards in our favour (the odd penalty wouldn't go amiss), but they can't make Southampton miss all their chances.

Foxes Talk liked us until we, and Leeds, became a legitimate threat. I think they don't hate Ipswich but are just feeling the pressure from having it in the bag and then falling away.
One thing about luck, is we have had a bit of good fortune on our side in a couple of recent games, but that's the rub of it really. Like all teams, we've had our fair share of s*ite luck to balance it out.
I have a sneaky suspicion most Leicester fans would be happy if they and Ipswich got promoted rather than they and Leeds. |  |
