January business so far then.... 16:22 - Jan 26 with 2298 viewsThisIsMyUsername

A striker who couldn't get in the Forest Green team.
A bloke from Leeds who by all accounts is a beast physically but not a very good footballer.
A centre back who was half decent a few years ago but could potentially challenge Dids for a regular spot on the treatment table.
Some other bloke who was released by a League 1 side.

We also in the next few days need to find a replacement for our 'replacement' for Murphy.

Have I missed anything?

We potentially could be getting a player who cant play for 10 months. Obv just a rumour tho.

You have however described the signings very well.

Lol. Only just noticed that story (been too busy today to come on here until now).

That makes the Jonny Williams loan look inspired.

I think your glass is half empty!
If it was half full you could say:
A promising targetman who scored 5 in 4 games at Torquay
A beast of a midfielder who a year ago was Brentford's player of the season
An experienced Premier League defender in his prime who was in the England squad less than 4 years ago
And a talented and versatile former England U21 defender

Just sayin.....

Moore has played Championship football so he is not the total novice who will paint him out to be. He got 5 in 4 games on loan at Torquay? (Very much a punt)

The Leeds lad is a reasonable foit baller, he looked good at Brentford. I'd expect him to be like a more defensive naive Skuse with better technical ability.

Taylor is experienced and certainly was talented but is potential backup and cover if Berra goes?

Spence was playing in a decent footballing side in League One in fairness and has decent pedigree. McCarthy has a good record with defenders, I'd trust him on this one.

We still await some blue ribbon signings, all four of these are players brought in to add squad depth. I can't see a problem with three of them who could be here for the next few seasons?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

OK, I'll reserve judgement until we see if there are any blue ribbon signings.

If not then this has been a sh1te window overall.

Allow me to sort this one for you both:

A promising targetman who scored 5 in 4 games at Torquay, who who couldn't get in the Forest Green team.

A beast of a midfielder who a year ago was Brentford's player of the season, but not a very good footballer.

An experienced Premier League defender in his prime who was in the England squad less than 4 years ago but could potentially challenge Dids for a regular spot on the treatment table.

And a talented and versatile former England U21 defender who was released by a League 1 side.

I bet you come Wednesday Morn there will be a news story on here how town offered £1m-£2m for a player who is actually valued at £4m-£5m. We cant have it both ways, sell our best players for a good ammount and not expect to pay up for replacements..

I seem to remember we have been here before Dolly, and i believe you were one of the posters who praised the last transfer window as a complete success !

Fair points benters.

We propably have offered 50% of asking prices in hope and more of a publicity stunt tbh.

You are making stuff up, unless you want to provide some evidence?

I didn't praise any transfer window. I merely asked you to provide evidence we were deliberately bidding low to not get the players we wanted but still say we were bidding for them.

Looking forward to your evidence...
