Didn't think anything could put me off cauliflower cheese but the moist munching noises may have done it

Sunday family roast on 19:55 - Nov 28 with 838 views | footers | One of my cousins has ketchup on his roast. My female cousin's boyfriend asked me for raw carrots on his last year. Bloody wrong'uns. Oh, and none of them think I can cook because I serve beef 'raw' and veg 'crunchy'. Honestly...

I used to have a cousin, via marriage - is there such thing as a step-cousin? - anyways, he wasn't blood, who would put ketchup on everything. In his defence my step mother couldn't cook so could understand the thinking there when he visited. The old "I like my veg cooked properly" line huh? Generational thing isn't it? Mind you to see so many of the lard on toast lot still knocking around makes you wonder. You can only assume they didn't have access to alcohol (or obviously acid) when they were young.

You need a little bite to some veg, eggers. Can't be doing with this carrots stewed for two hours malarkey in 2021.

You serve beef 'raw'? I am assuming they like their beef like leathery strips rather than the essential medium rare finish?

Nah. Cook them or don't. I'm suggesting they are cooked to mush but they need to be cooked.

If it's pink, it's raw - apparently. The best way to serve, allegedly, is to cook it well-done, slice and leave in a Bisto bath ready for eating.

Ah, I can see they usually eat their roast dinner after it's been in the microwave for a 4-minute spin.
