Very sad for America, and very sad for Biden as well. Those videos make for incredibly difficult viewing, especially for anyone who has had to watch the decline of an elderly loved one. He should be at home, with his loved ones, telling interesting (if not slightly rambling and repetitive) stories, rather than whatever this current existence must be for him.

Wasn't there discussion towards the end of the Trump presidency, at the point at which he appeared even more insane than during the rest of the previous four years, that he could have been ousted through some sort of 'fitness for office' mechanism?
Even if that exists, I would imagine that such a move would open a can of worms that many of the older members of Congress and the Senate (Mitch McConnell, anyone?) would rather keep closed. | |

The only reason for voting for either of them is to stop the other being elected. A crazy state of affairs.
Important for Democrats that they select the right running mate, someone who they can be comfortable with as President, as no way will Biden get through to 2028. |  |

If he is re-elected, what's the hell is he going to be like in four years? And it's not as though he has a VP as competent or popular as he would have been when he was VP.
Trump's nicknames, Sleepy Joe and Slow Joe, certainly do seem apt. And whilst it is not kind to make adverse comments on those whose faculties are failing, I think there is an exception if that person is standing to be leader of the free world.

Those clips on skynews earlier - Biden is physically fcked and mentally clearly declining. How anyone can imagine he is fit to be president for another 5 years is beyond me.
Looks like their system isn't going to throw up another candidate - would need him to accept his time is up - and to do so quickly to enable the alternative candidates to fight out the nomination.

Neither the Prime Minister nor the Leader of the Opposition are in any way impaired by age. Whether you like their policies or not, they are both physically and mentally capable of holding office.
