Rosenior Can Face Reading
Rosenior Can Face Reading
Monday, 2nd Nov 2009 11:13

Town have confirmed that full-back Liam Rosenior can face his parent club Reading when the Blues travel to the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

Rosenior joined the Blues from the Royals on a season-long loan in August and the terms of that agreement allow the 25-year-old to take on his other team-mates at the weekend.

The only previous occasion that a loan player has played against his parent club while with Town was in November 2001 when Sixto Peralta helped the Blues to a 1-0 victory over Inter Milan in the first leg of a UEFA Cup third round tie at Portman Road.

I will be watching from the exec box, might give you peasants a wave.... but I might be too busy drinking my free beer and talking about the stock market with fellow businessmen.

Have we got any fit players to bring into the back 4 anyway?

What has happened to Pim? Is he injured or another one who has out of RK's plans

It turned out Pim was rubbish

Like the look of Rosenior. Good going forward, good engine (as they say), seems reasonably competent in defence and took the time (on his own pretty much!) to applaud the fans around the pitch on Saturday.

Good on him.

looks like he could be here to stay if he is playing on sat

Why do we get comments like bluemurder's? Pim is a young player and yes maybe the first team isn't the place to learn your trade but I think he'll be a useful player.
Negativity is not the answer.Give the lads support.

Going to the game sat with renewed optimism. Can anyone let me know how delaney played? Is he more suited to CB with his type of physique?

Delaney was MOM for me on Saturday, had a stormer, even though half the boo boys around me were getting fe up with me being so positive about him, honestly looked at home at CB.

Rosenior in a nutshell looks a great full back for us and deserves his place in the team. He has got my full respect and blessing to wear the town shirt after applauding every corner of the ground on Saturday too, great to see his appreciation, shame no one else joined him, but they must of been mentally exhausted after finally holding on for our first win!

Here is to a non stop winning streak leading up to christmas, I reckon 8 games on the bounce!! Come on the to-w-en!!

Agreed Bleedblue, Delaney had a very good game at CB. He shoudl probably stay there, as he is obviously uncomfortable at LB and gets exposed too much.

Great news that Rosenior can play against Reading - he really is a very good RB.

Bergholtblue - I think Pim was injured playing for the reserves recently. He hasn't had the best of starts to this season anyway, and maybe Keano is keeping him in the background to train and improve. For all those who think Keano is simply falling out with players, how much better is David Wright now that he spent some time on the sidelines? he really is a revelation on that left side for me. If Pim (and Garvan?) come back much better players for their temporary exile, then surely that is to the benefit of the team?

COYB!!!!!!!

I wonder if Pim refuses to move to Ipswich from Holland?

Good news. Back four of Wright, Bruce, Delaney, Rosenior - sounds very solid to me. Let them train together this week, and by Saturday, hopefully they will have gelled enough to form an impenetrable unit! Begovic is class in goal too. I thought Wright was good, but Begovic is something else - dare I say, world class!?!!
