Town Back in Bottom Three
Town Back in Bottom Three
Wednesday, 17th Feb 2010 22:42

Town dropped back into the Championship’s bottom three after Reading’s 3-1 victory at Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening. The Blues now sit in 22nd place behind Palace who also have 33 points but whose goal difference is nine better.

A draw with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday would be enough to take the Blues above Palace depending on their result, while a victory could see Town leap ahead of the Owls in 20th, QPR in 19th, Reading in 18th and Scunthorpe in 17th if their games go the Blues' way. Town travel to Scunthorpe next Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Jon Stead made his debut for new loan club Coventry as a 56th minute sub as the Sky Blues lost 4-1 at Newcastle.

Matt I totally agree with you for what you say about the players for that money they should be able to perform but unfortunately to a lot of them it is just a job ,they do not care about Ipswich anywhere near how much we do .
And if they do not get on with their boss it can work either way ,the i will show him attitude or the bugger him attitude and on Tuesday second half it looked to me like the latter ,hopefully it will change on Saturday

I have to agree that the situation is looking very deressing. It's certainy a worry - but not time for panic. Looking at the remaining fixtures, our home run in looks pretty decent and people surely have to admit that our home form since Newcastle has been fairly good? The away form is a real worry though. I honestly can't see us winning any of our remaining games.

Does anyone know when season ticket renewals will be coming out? Can't wait to hear what they say! Surely they will have to offer a rebate if we go down???

Will be interesting to see how much they charge either way as people are going to be put off after this season, even when we stay up i think people will think twice.....

Yeah that's it byebyesheepshanks. As a student from Ipswich my corporate day out in a box is totally ruined. Especially seeing as I've never been in a box and barely afford a ticket, let alone a box. For future reference, if you want to mock, copy and paste is a simple task to get the mockee's name right. Idiot.

How worrying that many people on here are almost hoping we go down so that there low opinions of RK are in some way proved correct. Whatever his faults as a manager, he has always accepted the blame, and not hidden. What a shame his overpaid underperforming players haven't shown a bit more of his honesty in their performances

Fatcatevans - what are you on about? No one on this site wants Town relegated, hence the passionate debate on the manager's contribution. Its the real fear of relegation looming towards us thats making many of us sit up and voice our opnions. Enough is enough, times run out, confidence is lost. As for his players honesty - aren't the majority now playing sourced by Kean who I beleive has said many times they are well vetted for the type of character he requires? On that basis they are a reflection of the manager - just not good enough.

losing faith big time....6 wins and were approaching march....thats worrying....clearly this cannot be classed as acceptable, people say teams find it difficult to beat us but come on its not rocket science to work out that draws dont keep you up and losing 3-1 to peterborough that is disgraceful!
on current form we will be heading into the mickey mouse league (league 1) and serious rebuilding has to be done, for all what keane has said in the media we are a laughing stock.

the whole thing is confusing, cannot get my head around this.

theres no point talking to matt the blue cause i found its actually roys aunt geraldine who's behind the mtb tag..fact is town have been sh.te all season some people buried their head in the sand and said the tables were lying anyone who said different was a terrorist;these people have delayed the boss from giving roy the boot by endlessly waffling on about he will come good and the boo boys are responsible for all the ills of the world blah blah.trouble is the boss keeps tabs on supporters views and says these suckers luv roy and we get great media exposure from having a halfwit from cork fronting up to the cameras every week to explain another loss.while charging the fans a fortune too watch ./,l;'

bennyblue - You are what I would call "a pointless waste of oxygen". You've just complained that in your last post anyone who was anti-Keane was labelled a "terrorist" yet you've just made some crack about my identity because I don't agree with you! Hypocrisy much? Second of all, do you seriously think Marcus Evans got where he is by listening to the general populace? Only when he wants to change the manager will Keane go, regardless of how many fans shout and stamp.
