Livermore Loan Extended
Livermore Loan Extended
Monday, 15th Nov 2010 16:05

Tottenham have announced that Jake Livermore's loan has been extended until January 29th.

The midfielder, who celebrated his 21st birthday yesterday, was always expected to remain with the Blues until January, but his initial loan period formally ended on Saturday.

Livermore has made six starts and three sub appearances for the Blues since moving to Portman Road in late September.

Another 10 weeks left for Livermore then. Colback will be gone in 7. When will Darren Day and Townsend be going?? January too?? And if Wickham is sold too -Good forward planning Keano !!!

No better than Garvan anyone agree?

Had one or two good games and one or two abysmal ones. As a young player this is bound to happen. On his day a good player. Good to have in a small squad.

ipswich24 other than the weekend Gavarns match reports for CP have been pretty poor.... inconsistant at best. Also we have not bought Livermore so only paying a proportion of his wage rather than all of Garvans. Whopped its O'Dea and Townsend is a season long loan.

The problem with Garvan was he was not consistent enough, yes he could be our best passer but other days he could not be bothered. I think Keane goes for players who are 100% commited even if they are not the most effective.

Should make a good make shift keeper when keane throws fulop into midfield!

If Darren Day plays Buttons in panto, will Keane be applying for a job too? Keano should be commitment free by the time panto season starts !!! He should be well qualified for panto after the last 2 years !!!!

Agreed ipswich24, who have we signed (SIGNED not loaned) as a cheap replacement for Garv?

that pass against leeds for scotland's goal was quality

would be good to see him do it on a more consistent basis

I thought he was one of our best players on Saturday, the only person who got stuck in and showed a bit of passion, and he's not even our player. I think he's still a bit young and makes a few wrong decisions but that's why he's been sent on loan here to get minutes and 'street wise' as keane might say.

We've got 5 or 6 midfielders all in the exact same mold. This guy is one of them. Meh.

I thought Livermore worked really hard on Saturday, but it just didn't happen for him. Last Tuesday he was awful. It's fine to keep him, except it is another wage to pay. After reading the other story about finances, do we really need the following for two central midfield places: Clarke, Colback, Healy, Hourihane, Hyam, Leadbitter, Livermore, Norris, Quinn...plus Peters can play there!

totally agree with ozzy -

I rate this player , he was one of the only players looking for the ball the whole game !

Radlett_blue added 18:48 - Nov 15
Yes, Mark, we do need all these central midfielders as long as Roy likes to play at least 4 of them in his starting XI.

That so many players might be leaving the club in January hopefully won't be Keane's problem.
What is Keane's problem is that he never has replaced Garvan, our midfield is totally devoid of a playmaker.

And In January he signs permanent as part of the deal taking Wickham to Spurs

Sorry Arsenal - It's ALL Keane's Fault.............

Livermore is ok , but nothing more. reminds me of Garvan , he has NO pace .

meekreech added 23:05 - Nov 15
But Livermore does at least try for the whole game ( I did not want Garvan to go but he was and is too inconsistent ) and will start to be a bigger influence if the supporters get more supportive and less critical of the younger players efforts !

Good news, he strengthens our midfield and he's a decent sub to bring on after 70 minutes or so.
