Kennedy Close to Return Monday, 14th Mar 2011 13:15 Left-back Mark Kennedy has a chance of returning to the Town side when the Blues face bogey side Watford at Portman Road on Tuesday. The veteran Irishman has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. Boss Paul Jewell says Kennedy is closing in on a return but that Colin Healy is still out with his torn stomach muscle: “Mark Kennedy trained over the weekend and this morning, so we’ll see how he is in the morning. Colin Healy still isn’t 100% right. “Other than that, we’re not too bad. We’ve got Brian Murphy who is about three weeks away but not too bad.” Skipper David Norris misses Tuesday's game as he serves the final game of his two-match ban. Midfielder Alan Quinn remains Town’s one long-term absentee as he continues his recovery from groin surgery. Jewell says the Irishman now needs games, although there is no reserve match planned for this week. The Blues boss says there is no further news on loans either coming into the club or moving elsewhere, although Jewell is still keen to get as many of his youngsters out with lower league clubs before the deadline in 10 days’ time. Tuesday’s match was originally scheduled to be played on Boxing Day but was postponed due to a frozen section of pitch in front of the Cobbold Stand.
