That is one tough start! COYB

That's a tough first month - the real test of how we fare against some of the top teams comes straight away! Come On You Blues! Home game as last of the season is a bonus!

Difficult looking start - comfortable looking finish.

That is a really tough month 5 points maybe

Good news for the groundsman and pitch they got what they wanted; 2 away games to start the season- it appears a tough start and an easier finish; but who knows how the crazy league will pan out×
CornardBlue added 09:11 - Jun 19
Why do we always get 2 away games Christmas week, can't remember last time we were at home boxing day.

Closing the campaign at home is a great bit of newsit must said

Agree with Cornardblue... first thing I did was look at the Xmas games and yup, away for both of them again! Would be nice if they made it so you had to have at least 1 home game during the after Xmas period. Also agree our start looks tough, but on the flip side It could mean an easier finish (although nothing in the CC is easy judging by last year). I'd rather get a lot of the 'tougher' games over and done with early though.

the 3 relegated teams away in the first 6 weeks! Not easy but hopefully they will still be sulking from coming down and we can get points on the board early. roll on August 3

7 games in March, 6 in April, ! If it is a bad winter and someone has a cup run there will be fixture mayhem I'm sure we were always at home on boxing day under Sheepy

Very hard start but a nice run in at the end of the season. Think i prefer it getting the hard fixtures out the way early on.
Paulc added 09:40 - Jun 19
Made up with those fixtures. Not only do I have my season ticket back after a 13 year absence. But also Huddersfield & Leeds away on Tuesday when I work in York midweek (except when Town are at home) is genius! COYB
SouperJim added 09:43 - Jun 19
Only 3 midweek home games is massive for me as I can't usually make those, think we had 7 last season! Not so good for away fans however...

Out of 6 games in August 4 games are away ??????

Why are we away Boxing Day and December 29th to teams in other parts of the country?? Would have thought they would put us against a London team, unfair on our supporters having to travel. Did it last season with Wolves on 29th December too

Away games at Reading, QPR, Charlton, Millwall, Brighton and Watford are all Saturday 3.00 pm kick-offs. That is a result as far as I am concerned. At least 3 of these would have been midweeks last season.
Gilesy added 11:36 - Jun 19
Doesn't really matter how the fixtures fall - we get an "easy" start and don't get many points, and it all falls flat - get a "difficult" start and do well - great confidence boost. If we've any ambitions, we've got to do well against all the teams, so looks good to me.

26 December 2013 15:00 Doncaster Rovers v Ipswich Town 29 December 2013 15:00 AFC Bournemouth v Ipswich Town Thank you football league for making an effort to make our Christmas fixtures LOCAL!
Lennyboy added 12:31 - Jun 19
I agree with Gilesy, we need to be tough and this will be a test for MM pre-season prep work. I must admit though, the FA seem to have it in for us when it comes to Xmas. Counting down the time now as I absolutely hate close season. COYB...prediction..top three after 5 games.
BlueVelvet added 13:00 - Jun 19
All we now wait for is Sky's demands to come through. No home Xmas fixture and the single home Easter fixture is with Bournemouth who we play at Xmas - not an inspiting calendar
BlueVelvet added 13:09 - Jun 19
Why Borough away followed by Yeovil away 3 days later - furthest north followed by furthest south west - FA, you don't know what you're doing - my view is that you do sweet FA
BlueVelvet added 13:14 - Jun 19
My theory on Christmas away games is that Ipswich local policing isn't up to handling home games during this period - they are too busy sorting out the alcohol fueled violence around town - blame the fuzz!
