Dallas to Join Leeds
Friday, 31st Jul 2015 16:30

Leeds United are reported to have won the chase for Brentford winger Stuart Dallas. The Blues were also reported to be targeting the 24-year-old Northern Irish international.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites have agreed a fee believed to be in excess of £1 million with the Bees with Dallas set to sign a three-year deal with an option for a fourth season.

The move is expected to be completed early next week once the former Crusaders player has undergone a medical.

With the ownership drama at Leeds it was only inevitable that Dallas would join a bunch of cowboys.

I doubt we offered more than 2 years, maybe he went for the longer term deal.

How can Leeds be allowed to throw cash about? Forget this guy, obviously a money grabber anyway!

Were we even in for him? We seem pretty well off for wingers.

I don't actually believe we were in for him or McAnuff, especially if we sign this Larsen Toure who's on trial

As I posted earlier I am not at all surprised that we have not got him if indeed we were in the hunt for him. Leeds is an empire of a club compared to us although there ownership credentials have to be questioned. No doubt will throw a lorry load of dosh to pay him. Oh well on to the next one.

KuqiCoup - That's sour grapes in my book! ;-)
From what I understand, we were the only club to have made a concrete offer so there is no evidence that Ipswich were even interested, only paper talk!

Well Cellino might well be an absolute 'fruit loop' but he has definitely cleared up the mess the previous chairman left and you forget, we are a massively supported club and have secured some fantastic investment over the summer, namely Kappa who now produce our kit etc - we don't even have a shirt sponsor any more...

All the best for the forthcoming season but don't be sour...

He clearly lacks ambition

Shame players don't always go to the big clubs and settle for those that pay over the odds. I reckon Stewart told him Leeds were sound to stop him nicking his place here.

Stewart won't play for us again.

Also Henshall played vs Bury U20s, so appears he may not be hugely up there in Mick's estimations.

We have Niles / Fraser / Donnolly who is untested as the wide boys, so perhaps need one more in.

I assume Tabb will from here on in play CM when he does play.

Your attendances at Elland Road seemed woeful last year?

KuqiCoup- Brilliant.

I guess he Rossler swung it. Probably won't be there at Xmas but never mind. More concerned about back for cover so will be pleased when Knudsen signs

S20whiteNice of you to drop in, and with fair comments, you won the chase for him if indeed we placed something on the table, good luck with your season, i do not do this inter club bickering, i,m a town supporter and thats where it stops, regards

Would have been an excellent signing and also demonstrate our ambition with a million pound plus bid. I hope we don't make do with McAnuff or one of the freebie trialists. If we were in for him, then let's look elsewhere. A 24 year old over a 33 year old who hasn't performed at Leyton Orient any time.

Hes a very good footballer ,we are making enquiries and then waiting , its very possible that ME is nervous of committing funds ,so he's trying to negotiate ,other clubs are perhaps getting in front of us and getting deals dome. Leeds have spent a few million ,Derby ,Boro ,Qpr ,Burnley. Oue squad will be improved but under our terms. Rossler will be sacked in month 2 ,then someone else will come in and so on. But we know they pay there players circa 1 million a year ,look at Stewarts compensation package. Madness. But players will follow the money , they don't think ahead of that ,as the more they get their agents get and agents run their financial lives. Onwards and upwards. We are shopping at Aldi now as opposed to Lidal , hopes we don't wait for the stale bread offers……….

Were we even in for him, I probably think not. When I've seen him on the box he looked a tidy player but I doubt if the club were going to splash a million + & I also think McAanuff is paper talk too,!!

If Dallas was the standard/age of player we were targetting I can't see McAnuff being an acceptable replacement..Mick's probably got another couple of decent options up his large sleeve.

After the stewart issues I think they should be banned from signing anyone until they can proof they can buy properly, so if rosler goes is celino going to try to fined a reason to get out of this contract like he is trying with stewart shame for the lad if he gets done over cause of a greedy agent and a mafia mobster.
