Town Unveil New Away Kit Wednesday, 31st May 2017 06:00
Town have revealed their away kit for the 2017/18 season, a red shirt with black shorts, as previously reported by TWTD, while the away keeper’s strip is all black.
The Blues have worn red and black as a second or third kit on a number of occasions over the years stretching back to the Sir Bobby Robson era, most recently in the 2013/14 season.
Suggest all those unhappy with the current regime, particularly our foul mouthed , negative manager, buy nothing with Marcus Evans on it until this changes.
May be Adidas could supply without the advert (I was going to say sponsor but I am not so sure)
When I'd heard it was going to be red and black, I had expected the shirt and socks to also have some black on it too, which would then connect with the shorts. I'm not sure if it looks right like this.
Not the worst. Would prefer some black on the shirt & having the 3 stripes on the sleeves instead of the ribs. The stress of trying to have (& keep) the stripes perfectly lined up with the 3 stripes on the shorts is going be very distracting for the more OCD affected members of the squad.
I am not sure if that is the true colour but looks a bit orangey as opposed to a bright red. As others have said, I would have preferred some black on the shirt and the stripes on the shoulder.
Just looks like a standard Adidas shirt with a badge and ME plastered all over it.
Could we deviate any further away from our traditional colours?? Looks awful imo!! Keane would have been happy though!!, still no worries though as I won't be buying it.
As an away kit it's ok, but it's really doesn't matter how much like or dislike it, because as with the new home kit I won't be buying it (or anything else) until McCarthy has gone & Evans decides he's going to start investing enough money to give us a realistic chance of promotion. #mccarthyout #evansinvestorsellitfc
The launch of a new strip following a terrible season of terrible football and hiking up season ticket prices was never going to be viewed as the hard sell club wanted it to be. The people who now own and run our club are pushing supporters away by the tactics they are employing both on and off the pitch. New owner, new manager, new regime, they wouldn't have been able to print the shirts quick enough.
