Two-Camera Coverage in Final Year of iFollow Thursday, 30th Jun 2022 14:41 Town have announced that home games will received two-camera coverage on iFollow during 2022/23.
The EFL’s iFollow service has been criticised in previous seasons for its rather limited coverage with only one camera at Portman Road, not least from CEO Mark Ashton.
In addition to the extra camera, the club will be increasing the number of microphones around the ground to give a better reflection of the atmosphere.
Town will have their own commentator with former or current Blues players providing punditry following a trial at the final game of last season.
BBC Suffolk will be continuing its long-running radio commentary, while Life's a Pitch returns on July 9th.
The 2022/23 campaign will be the Blues’ last on iFollow with the club set to introduce its in-house TownTV next summer.
Renewals for iFollow for 2022/23 will take place on Friday 1st July with UK pass holders charged £45, while the price for the international service is £140.
Individual video match passes for UK fans cost £10 with games available to stream aside from those played on Saturdays between 2.45pm and 5.15pm which can’t be shown due to UEFA Article 48.
Audio match passes cost £2.50 with all home and away games available to listen to live.
Further information on iFollow can be found here.

Good news - pity that the antiquated 3pm ruling hasn't been lifted.

While I'm looking to forward to next year and the departure of iFollow I'm not looking forward to missing Radio Suffolk's commentary.

That's good news but what I'm really chuffed about is not having to listen to Brenner Woolley's miserable, negative and wholly inaccurate commentary. I'm really glad Town have moved away from that. Looking forward to a bit of positivity.

I'm with not a witty name here. Brenner Woolley's commentary is something I really look forward to. Those seasons where Heart provided commentary were really poor, and it was great when we moved back to Radio Suffolk

I will miss the Radio Suffolk coverage, and had hoped it would carry on until Town TV was up and running. I may pay a bit extra and try to sync the Radio Suffolk coverage on one device with the TV coverage on another, but that may be difficult, if not impossible.
Eeyore added 16:30 - Jun 30
Impossible to sync the video and the audio. There is always a lag. I think Brenner is a fantastic commentator. He is not originally a Town supporter and is therefore the most impartial and professional commentator on ifollow. Anyone who has switched over to the opposition's commentary will have heard the bunch of clowns that other teams have to put up with!

I'm by no means a cameraman. Get a second hand decent camera and I'll attempt to operate a third one for nowt…

While it's rarely I've ever listened to match commentary on suffolk, mainly bcse im at the games and also don't like listening to radio commentary if I'm not, as I panic every time the opposition get anywhere near our goal.lol, I really dont get why people would miss brennar woolleys commentary. He's the most negative commentator suffolk have ever had. Made even worse when Mills is on with him. Have often come away from portman Road, listening to radio after a game, wondering what game those 2 have been watching. Certainly a different one to me and my mates have, on many occasions.

Are we just breazing over the news that Lifes a Pitch is back... Best news of the summer so far!
pg888 added 18:31 - Jun 30
Having been forced to the biased away team commentary during the behind closed doors season it's save to say Brennar is one of the best out there! Completely impartial compared to the others, as for the perceived negativity I would be pretty negative if town wasn't my team and I was forced to watch them every week during the last ten years at least!

Brenner is a great commentator, just needs to learn his station is Radio SuffOLK not SuffIK
Fat_Boy_Tim added 22:04 - Jun 30
Woolley needs to learn English and stop saying ‘off of'. The ball doesn't bounce off of the post, you don't get it off of your team mate etc… it's just ‘off' Brenner but if you insist, you are now ‘off of' the chuffing video coverage. Good!

I would prefer to keep the Radio Suffolk commentary. An in house commentator with a current player won't really be in a position to criticise anything (which sometimes is needed).

For us down in Australia, the replay option is good as KO times are often at 2am...does anyone know how quickly the replays on ifollow are uploaded please?
Fat_Boy_Tim added 08:12 - Jul 1
With Ifollow the ‘Full Match Replay' becomes available at midnight local, UK time. That's been pretty reliable for Sat 3pm matches.

I'm happily nail my colours to the Brenner Woolley mast. I enjoy his commentary. He is extremely well researched and tries to remain balanced in his comments. The criticism he receives regarding his commentary when the opposition score is ridiculous. Any goal in a match is a big moment and his commentary reflects that.

Is the cameraman in the top pic got an Ipswich Town tea towel to ID players?😅

I think the 3:00 pm Saturday live showings should be up to individual clubs. I don't think it would affect our attendances that much, whereas many other clubs would probably suffer.
