Agreed. Although I still feel Broadhead's first goal away against Sunderland in that first game was massive. We looked very nervous in that first half, but had created the better chances, to go in leading 1-0 at half time changed the belief in the players. Similar was Ladapo v Cardiff, to get that result from the losing position we found ourselves in spread confidence in the team and fans |

With Al Hamadi did we buy him with a long or short term view? Other clubs were apparently circling around him and we jumped in quickly to buy him before they did, which suggests to me it was long term. However was the view he would be better suited to the championship next season if we failed to get promotion. Personally I think he could surprise a few teams in the Prem next season. He clearly has the physical strength, and from reports carrying an injury, maybe a fully fit AH could become the unforseen gem. |

£100k a week???? Arsenal have had trouble for years because their wage structure was much lower than the other top teams although they have adjusted that recently. But if Brandon Williams is rumour to be in £60k a week at ManU no way Nketiah is on £100k a week, both are squad players |

One near me who regularly shouts "ffs clear it Town, boot it up field" and I mean regularly shouts it even if we're only 5 minutes into the match. Then should the opposition clear it by booting it up field he'll respond with "f**king hoof ball, boring boring ****, another 70s style team" |

From the Chelsea fans I know they're saying the club has to sell and the feeling amongst the fans is Boehly wants to sell a load of youngsters rather than first teamers, so something is possible. Although they say the rumours about a couple of established Prem teams interested in Hutchinson has been going round for a couple of months, with Brighton being one of those teams. |

Kenlock, like all the other players at that time, didn't have a McKenna as coach, and all players need good coaching to help them improve. Do you think Hutchinson's progression this season would be at the same level if Lambert was still manager? The one thing I will say about Kenlock is that he always gave his all, and there have been plenty of players at Town who were better players that him but didn't give their all every game. |

But McKenna has also said he believes in his own ability as a coach to improve players. I don't think he is suddenly going to expect the club to spend 100+ million on players. Yes there will be players coming in but Hutchinson could be a loan. Plus if it was purely about getting in Prem players for whatever amount would he actually be interested in Hutchinson or demanding that the club get Michael Olise a proven Prem winger/No10 |

Wasn't Neil Warnock who once said football manager is one of those rare jobs where you will be guaranteed to be sacked at least once in your career. Exacerbated by the fact the people you work for often have expectations that are totally unachievable. |
| Forum Reply | Sinclair Armstrong anyone? at 18:59 7 May 2024
Hard to say how much he's worth. QPR got £17million for a very raw Eberechi Eze when they sold him to Palace in 2020 after rejecting a £12million offer. Many at QPR see Armstrong at the same raw level as Eze at a similar age. Obviously QPR are maybe more desperate for money now, but they will know Prem teams are viewed as even (more) richer now then in 2020. |

I have a friend who's daughter has to use a wheelchair they had to walk in the road because of cars parked illegally half on a yellow line, half on the pavement around Christchurch Park area. As he said he's all for people enjoying the celebrations but why didn't people park in the official car parks in town and walk to Christchurch Park. I explained they're either too lazy to walk or too fat or both He would prefer the Council remove all the cars illegally parked and just crush them with no reimbursement to the owners. He views those drivers as anti-disabled. |

I really don't care, I won't even watch the games. Town are in the Prem and that's all I care about. 4 teams at the end of a long season. All have had patchy form lately, whichever team holds their nerve |
| Forum Reply | Moment of the season... at 18:18 6 May 2024
Burgess winner at Coventry for me. The first goal was amazing the roar from the Town fans I actually thought was louder than when Sarmiento scored, 2 Coventry fans even said that's the loudest roar they've ever heard at Coventry. But that 2nd goal was the moment of the season for me. I knew at that point automatic promotion was ours. Even though we still had the rest of the game to finish and Hudd on Sat, I was convinced then we had it. Never been that confident before. Even had a tear as I remembered 2 people not with us now who would have loved being here to see us back in the Prem, silly old sod that I am. |

I would say that's normal. If you have a manager coming towards the end of their contract/going to be sacked lots of clubs would already start to gauge if potential replacements were interest in joining them. OK not offer an actual contract but still going behind the manager's back |
| Forum Reply | Enough with the Leeds stuff at 14:12 6 May 2024
I saw one Leeds podcast (not sure who it was) but he was very unhappy the other day with Farke's comment that Morsey and Luongo's experience has been critical for Ipswich and Leeds lacked that. The podcaster was going on about the Leeds midfield has Prem experience, something M & L doesnt have and Prem experience is more important. Obviously not when it comes to automatic promotion. |

441 days ago since we beat them 4-0 at PR someone said on Sat. We're now in the Prem and FGR in the non league. |
