Thread | Do we still want him?

With everything going on with McKenna, even if he does end up staying, surely there’s now going to be a saltiness in the air? He’s clearly interested in other things and not 100% on us.. do we even want him anymore? With us going into the transfer market, it’s going to put potential players off coming here with all this noise now as a lot of players would join because of him. We can probably be sure Omari won’t be coming back now after all this.
I know he obviously isn’t an Ipswich fan like we are and clearly doesn’t have a connection to the club as much as we thought he did, clearly he’s more of a businessman than we thought. But we gave him his chance.
If he goes anywhere other than Man Utd which is clearly the job he wants then he can get fcked. Would be hoping he gets a hostile reaction if he returned as Brighton or Chelsea boss.

Agree with this. If he leaves us now then F him and hope he’s sacked within 3 months. We haven’t waited 20+ years to get back to the prem for our manager to just sack us off. We gave him his chance as a manager he should AT LEAST give us a year in the top flight. |

Been told by a few scum supporting friends that our support was p*ss poor. Thought I barely heard us on the tv all game either. Seems to be a bit of a theme away from home we don’t start singing properly until we’re winning? Anyone lucky enough to get a ticket to Norwich away needs to be belting their lungs out not standing in silence for 90. |

I think and hope they restart the points for next season whichever league we’re in. I didn’t have a membership last year but went to about 5-6 away games. Currently on 13 points and just don’t have any chance of getting tickets to any away game now. It’s the first away game at carrot road I’ve not been able to get a ticket for since about 2009. If they keep the points it’s just the same 2000 people at every single away match.. of which half of them only started supporting us 2 years ago (conveniently). I’ve sat / stood through all that sh!t the last 20 years and now can’t even get away tickets! |

Any other game away at 6th I’d probably take a point, but no chance for Saturday. Keeps their unbeaten run against us going. Stuff those cocky arrogant tw@ts and never play them again. Hate those yellow freaks. |

The talk of FFP is pretty irrelevant at this stage as we’ve supposedly had £2m rejected for Sam Gallagher. We clearly have that to spend this whole time. I’m not knocking what MA and KM have done at all and seems as though half the people on here can’t take any criticism towards this window, if we get big Kief in then it’s a solid window, if we don’t then it’s clearly not gone as planned. |

Mentioning we’ve won one game since 12th Dec is the point of we have no one to come on as well as or replace Hirst when he’s absolutely shot to bits. We were obviously going to have a dip as there’s no way we’d be able to keep the form we were on going, but being left with Jackson and Ladapo was always going to cause a further dip. Whatever way you want to look at it we were 10 points ahead of 3rd 6 weeks ago now it’s 1, funny the gap has been closed since Hirst has been out with no adequate striking options to come in isn’t it? |

You are aware of what’s happened the last 5-6 weeks right? Hirst got injured and we’ve won 1 game since 12th December because we don’t have a replacement anywhere near as good as him, we’ve sent Ladapo packing leaving us with just Kayden Jackson, so quite clear another striker was required before this jan window! |

But we’ve needed one for 6 months. The end of the summer window we were feeling flat, they have known a striker is needed this whole time, surely they would’ve known the financials leading up to this? As has been mentioned a number of time McKenna is ‘very particular’ over who he wants, but one injury to Ali and we’re left with Kayden Jackson as our only striker for a promotion push.. Some fans need to stop with the soft approach and see that if we don’t have another striker in the next 14 hours then it’s a massive c*ck-up. |

We needed another in the summer, didn’t happen, needed one even more than ever when Hirst got injured, I’m still stunned we didn’t have anything lined up the first week of Jan.. Let’s see what today brings and I think id take anyone at this point. |

I was hoping we’d sign him all summer and was surprised we weren’t even linked with the price he went to Boro for. He ripped us to shreds playing for Lincoln back in league 1 a few years ago and wanted us to sign him since. £16m seems a bit steep though! |

Not very often I’ll blame McKenna, however taking off Hutch and Jeremy was an absolute shocker. They’re our only two players who were taking on their man / capable of doing so.. Losing both of them at the same time absolutely killed any creativity |

Wouldn’t say there was ‘irrational hatred’ from our fans. More the fact that he was massively overrated and probably played about 2 good games out of the 80 odd he played. Lived off his dad’s name and the fact he was good when he was 14. Quite clearly hasn’t done anything since leaving us either |

I would assume this isn’t true, why on earth in the position we’re in would we want to sign someone like Sam Gallagher who’s highest scoring season is 11 goals 7 years ago (and hasn’t been above 10 since). Also believe he is out injured so would make no sense whatsoever |
