Ok soo Watford...

Agreed, they do have quick, physical and quite skilful players in their squad, who have underachieved. They are in principle a team of individuals though and, you never knew which team would turn up on the day. Tom Cleverly, has made them resemble more of a team though in his limited time in charge, so we definitely need to be on our game tomorrow.

I don't necessarily agree, that Wagner won some sort of tactical masterclass and, McKenna failed to adjust how we were set-up to play the game, which has be said across a number of threads now. I thought that we looked like a team, that was coming to the end of a long, physical and mentally gruelling season and, for some of the squad, at a level they have never played at before.

Having watched Norwich on a number of occasions this season, when their games have not coincided with Town games, they played exactly how they normally set-up to play, with one exception. The one exception being, that Sainz was quite obviously instructed to double up in protecting the left full back (McCallum?), from allowing Hutchinson from getting in behind, which, I have to say, he carried out to the letter. This is where we really missed the pace and direct running that Burns would have offered over Hutchinson, who could then have taken the Chaplin role, either from the start, or off the bench, posing a major threat to both of the much slower and less capable centre backs.

I was asked by a family member prior to the game, how I felt Town would fair. My answer was, if Norwich score first, we will more than likely lose, as we will struggle to break down their very narrow and compact four, four two formation. They have played this system for most of the season. They attempt to play out from the back, with either Sara or McLean dropping in alongside the two centre backs, who are not comfortable or trusted in passing out and, both full backs then playing high and on the touch line, making the pitch as big as possible . When pressed, both Sara and McLean drop in together. It was the first game on Saturday, that I have seen Nunes be the player to drop in alongside the centre backs. Barnes then drops into midfield and, they do look frequently for the ball in behind a high defensive line for Sargent to run onto, which we witnessed on Saturday. However much some may wish to dismiss Norwich, they are a good team, with recently Premiership players and parachute money available to them, equally, they are really reliant upon Sargent and will again struggle should he not be available to them for any play-off campaign.

Should we meet them again in the play-offs, I wouldn't be too hasty in downplaying our chances of knocking them out. We take the lead, then the onus will be on Norwich to force the game, leaving room in behind for Town to exploit, when, we will hopefully have Burns, maybe even Hirst available to us. Yes, I know that Norwich came from behind at Portman Road, but they were far more open in that game, having to be more positive and less defensive. We certainly have more than enough to hurt them.

You're correct, that sign is very badly positioned. It is very easy to miss the sign when building up your speed to match that of those on the carriageway for a seamless entry. Even more so, if there are one or two HGV's slightly further ahead positioned in the inside lane, which obstructs your view of the sign completely. I have mentioned to numerous people, that there should be a digital sign on the slip road itself to inform the user of the reduction in speed.

I found, that the Town TV stream for the game against WBA, kept buffering and then jumping approx 20 secs all game. Equally, the quality of the stream was exceptionally poor, no better than one of many other available streams that people may decide to sit by! I'm not sure why, or whether I was alone in the quality of stream, as I've not seen anyone else mention this issue since Saturday.

Thank you for sharing, very moving.

I can relate to eveything that Hoppy has expressed. My granddaughter has been diagnosed as autistic and, even with my limited involvement, it saddens me to see the difficult path in which she is going to have to navigate. As parents and grandparents, we can only be there to support her every step, as far as possible, through her journey.

Apologies, didn't mean to counter your advice in a negative way. The entrance I mentioned, is not really a cut through, but an actual entrance into the hospital grounds from Woodridge Road East. When getting off the bus at this point, you would need to use the mentioned pedestrian crossing, with the hospital entrance directly in front of you. I just thought that this may have been easier for the poster and, perhaps less confusing when using the crossing and seeing the entrance.

If you're getting off at Woodbridge Road East, no need to walk around into Heath Road. As you get off the bus, use the pedestrian crossing and enter the hospital grounds next to the bus stop, on the roundabout, which heads back into Town, towards Spring and Woodbridge Roads. The walk and cycle path will take you directly through the front of the hospital grounds, where, if you're attending a clinic appointment, you walk passed the maternity block (tallest building in the grounds) and, take the first turning on the right into outpatients clinics, Entrance 6.

Totally agree.

This really needs to return. When sung at the correct speed and, therein lies the problem in my opinion, it can really be so simple, yet atmospherically amazing.

Can anyone explain why this was disallowed?
at 16:21 12 Nov 2023

Before the corner was taken, Broadhead and their player, were both called over by the ref, for a lecture on holding. If you watch carefully, you will see, that Broadhead, crouched over with his head pushing into the stomach area of the Swansea defender, to prevent him from being held.

Both players returned to their original positions within the area and, Broadhead, continued to crouch over in a similar fashion, when I immediately said, if he continues with this action, a foul will be given and, so it turned out.

Broadhead doesn't persist with this movement in trying to stop the defender from holding him, goal would have been given. It seemed at the time, a strange movement in an attempt to prvent being held, not something, that I have seen a player try before.

Maguire says budgies losing about 450k a week!
at 20:01 6 Nov 2023

Sara is very talented, but lacks the work ethic, would never fit into our team. Rowe is a very good prospect, but take away the long range goals that he scored, when he announced himnself on the scene at the beginning of the season, has he really done anything to impact their games when needed during this bad run of form?

Yes, I agree. I have watched some of thier pre-season friendlies and, games that did not coincide with Town games. Prior to this season, I thought, that Sargent as an out and out striker, looked terrible, however, he appears to have been given a new role within the team this season, sitting deeper and licence to roam across the pitch. In my opinion, he looks far more dangerous in this role, being physically strong, quick and not too shabby in skill set. He is the one player they are missing the most and, I believe, not due to return until the new year. I would take him over Rowe and Sara at the moment, as someone who could cover for Hirst, not the most prolific but can hold the ball up and link the play and, also play behind Hirst in the three.

Posted this comment on a thread 20th August:

I watched the recent Hibs FC Luzern game at Easter Road and, one player stood out by an absolute mile. He remined me of a younger version of Morsy, all be it quicker, younger, 21, and, had a far greater range of passing.

My initial impression was, that Town should certainly take an interest in this player as someone who could quite comfortably be a current first team player and, ultimately Premier League, replacing Morsy.

As I had no idea who the player was, I looked him up, to find he has just broken into the Swiss national team and, is interesting Celtic, reportedly for 5 million. Now, if as asuggested on here multiple times, we are going to break our transfer record, this is the player I would like to see that money spent on.

The players name is Ardon Jashari.
