Steve Jones' biggest problem is that he's still thinks he's presenting T4. It's a shame that F1 can only be watched fully via a subscription because this season has been fantastic for the most part.
What I enjoy most about international tournaments is when players have an absolute blinder of a tournament which earns them a move to a big club only for it to turn out that they aren't very good. Let's run through some famous examples, I'll start
It's the differences between Giggs and Page. I guess he's trying to establish his own stamp on the squad. They play more of a fluid front 3 with Harry Wilson as a false '9'. I don't see it working against the staunch defences in their group. They've got to try and catch teams on the counter.
I think Holy will stay as back up or at least to change lightbulbs at the training ground. I fully expect to see more mutual terminations once a few more signings come through the door. I'd say Hawkins, Lankester and Ndaba potentially could be the victims.
If he'd come out and said Harper this morning then fair crack you'd gain a bit more creditability. Three emojis is so vague you can (which they have and probably will continue to) apply it to anything and everything regarding signings.
I think it's more of a case of would he drop down this far. He's been sitting on 40k a week for years. Big drop off, we would be stretching ourselves massively to pay him 30-40% of that.
I'd imagine this is a replacement for Scott Fraser who had yet another impressive year in L1.
I know many Town fans had him on their list, I wouldn't say I was fully convinced but he's got one hell of a highlight reel. I think we are just incredibly desperate for any midfielder willing and able to get a shot on target from range.
The club announced the 10k as they had a firm figure from the deadline that passed on the 28th May. I moved my ticket during this period but was told via email that seats will remain reserved until 21st June from those who have had a season ticket for the past two seasons. I managed to move my seat but this information alone shows that we can go off any figures that are being bounded about. The Seatgeek data will fluctuate due to new tickets, renewals and cancellations.
It may well turn out to be 16k by the start of the season but we will never know until the cut off what it is. No doubt TT will demand respect from EADT and TWTD for this ITK exclusive which can never be proved or disproved.
Morgan Rogers and they've got the well publicized son of David Johnson on the other flank from Forest. Sunderland have Jordan Jones and Oxford have Brandon Barker on loan from Rangers.
Clubs higher up the period want their players to be playing regularly against savvy and experienced opponents that you simply don't get playing youth football. We will pick up a few over the summer. Cook has got a good track record with loans.
No point being all fur coat and no knickers. Cook wants a solid spine of trusted players to run through that team. The season hasn't finished yet so still plenty of time for clubs to decide who can stay and go whether that be permanently or out on loan. I look at the playoffs in our division, arguably Lincoln & Sunderland's most impressive attacking players are on loan.
D'oh wish I had known this before I committed. I'll see if I can get it retrospectively deducted. If not I might be able to use it on away tickets I guess
There's certainly value in the lower leagues. Colby Bishop, Dion Charles and Jack Taylor all came from NL and below, arguably some of the past two seasons best performers. Cook signed Lowe from Hampton and Richmond at Portsmouth. We won't ever get another Jamie Vardy but a even a useful squad player we can turn a profit on is a good asset to have.
