| News Comment | U23s Host Hull City at Portman Road at 03:33:03
When will supporters be able to watch all Ipswich Town U23 home games?, it is something that I have really missed. It is a big part of being a Ipswich Town season ticket holder, the chance of seeing our young players of the future and senior players returning to fitness. |
| News Comment | Tractor Girls' Title Hopes Hit After Defeat to Saints at 03:12:48
The Tractor Girls are a pleasure to watch, and have done and are doing us proud, just a shame about Sunday's result against a Southampton team that should now go on to win the league?. It was a bad weekend for both our men and women's teams, both playing nice football, but without the killer threat, to make the keeper sweat, or even having to take a bath? Sorry to sound so negative, but we are on the right road for success with both teams, and perhaps next year, will be our year, with a double promotion! Onwards and upwards for both the teams! |
| News Comment | Sheehan: Proud of the Progress We've Made at 02:58:52
A great effort against WPL opposition. Manager Sheehan obviously set his team out to be hard to beat, although doing this we had no attacking threat during the whole game, obviously a learning curve from our last adventure in the later stages of this cup, a few years ago against Man City. Now to win this league, win the play off game, and attain a well deserved promotion to The Championship. Onwards and upwards! |
| News Comment | McKenna: Brilliant, the Whole Club is Really Excited at 04:19:46
0-1 But what fight was put up from our Tractor Girls against WFL West Ham. Did not have a chance to see what the visiting keeper could do, but our keeper didn't have to work too hard, a couple of easy saves, but beaten by a clinical strike. This is a great learning curve for our girls, such a young team, well coached by.Sheehan and his staff. Onwards and upwards. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Brilliant, the Whole Club is Really Excited at 04:19:16
Ipswich Town men, youth and women's teams are really on the up at last! Onwards and Upwards. Let's hope for a double whammy of wins against Oxford and West Ham, both in which games we are the underdogs! |
| News Comment | Celina: I Want to Come Back at 04:04:31
So good that special players want to be part of The McKenna Revolution of our club. Onwards and upwards for The Super Blues. |
| News Comment | Edwards Hoping First Goal Will Lead to More at 04:57:40
Edwards has so much skill and pace, but having created the chance or killer pass, musst just slow down a milli second to make all hiis work create a goal or scoring chance for teammates. I have worked as a coach at a local level and seen this work. |
| News Comment | Ashton: We'll Probably Reshuffle a Little Bit in January at 02:49:18
Sign Bonne, a must, Celina if possible and Walton, release Barry, Coulson, too injury prone, try and sell Nolan and Norwood, we might be lucky? but they are not good enough for the team, buy a proven attacking left back, and our squad could just be good enough to grab a chance of promotion? |
| News Comment | Cook: Our Fans Were With Us When We Most Needed Them at 05:44:43
The club is starting to go up a notch. The backers of our club seem genuine and the people brought in likewise. Paul Cook and the players that he has known as good players have been brought to our club, the support is there, the love for our club is back...onwards and upwards. |
| News Comment | Outcast Quartet Start as U23s Win at Needham at 02:38:13
Time for Downes to want to be here, he could earn a place at Town as a defensive midfielder, just has to up his game and desire to earn a place as a starter.. |
| News Comment | Ndaba Ayr Loan Move Confirmed at 04:31:32
Good luck to Corrie, he looks a good centre back and comfortable on the ball. Game time is what he needs at a decent level. Let's hope that he gets it at Ayr, and comes back to claim a place in a younger, more dynamic Ipswich Town side. |
| News Comment | Folami Linked With Return to Australia at 02:45:57
Never been given the real chance in the 1st team. His style of link up play in the U23 team over the years, is very much in the approach now being adopted by THIS YEARS 1st team. Drinan (injured) and now Hawkins are playing a similar roll. It would be sad to lose him, when so many of our Academy lads are now staking their claim, and grabbing it. |
| News Comment | Blues Out to Continue 100 Per Cent League One Start Against Rochdale at 00:41:33
The main thing that I have noticed from our first few games is, a new Ipswich style of play, and one that I can identify with. Each player knowing their role, and caring about each other, ie: passing and moving to receive when attacking, or tackling and covering when defending...basic stuff, that we haven't done for a few years. Dozzell is starting to make his mark as a playmaker, Nolan now starting to show his worth box to box, Bishop, although quiet in the last game now keeping fit, and Lankester and Downes coming off the bench to great effect. We must try to keep Downes, get Drinan, KVY, Rowe, Nynam, etc up to speed, after injury, and we will have a great YOUNG side ready to climb the leagues. |
| News Comment | U23s Host Millwall in Season Opener at 01:02:38
Surely it should be possible to watch U23 games at Playford Road. There is normally the same faces watching/supporting, and to meet the 2 metre Covid guidelines should be no problem considering the fact that there is no stadia etc? |
| News Comment | Drinan: I Want to Stay in the Team For as Long as Possible at 04:15:20
Aaron has waited so long for his chance at our club, and this year he should be given this. He is a good hold up player, that also knits together with midfield and attack, he is a 'young' Murphy and more. Give him a real chance in the team, his goals will come. |
| News Comment | Blues End Friendly Programme at Cambridge United at 04:12:49
Holy/Cornell, neither too convincing at the moment. Donacian, Chambers, Woolfenden/Nsiala, Ward/Kenlock Vincent-Young, Downes, Dozzel, Bishop, Drinnan, Sears. Give them a chance, Jackson wants away, but only really has pace, Norward, I am not sure what he wants? New signing Hawkins we don't know about, but at 6ft 5ins, he should win most headers. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-4 West Ham United at 02:16:06
I have watched the last two friendlies, and I'm afraid that we do not have the quality of players, or Manager to select a side/system capable of playing total football out of defence. Neither keeper have looked comfortable, and in trying to play this way have lost the art of shot stopping. Sheffield United bucked the trend last year in The Prem, by playing to their strengths, ie: get it upfield/midfield to the players that are comfortable with the ball in THE OPPOSITIONS half, and then attack...or defend from the front. Each goal that we have given away in these last two friendlies have been down to poor defending by the whole team, and the lack of confidence to attack and shoot at every opportunity. |
