Coach Welcome Saturday?
at 09:04 29 Apr 2024

It's going down to the final game, regardless of what happens against Cov.

Surprised to see no mention of a coach welcome yet.

It felt like it was arranged earlier last season / against Norwich.

Is it going to happen?

Hull away - Sky
at 14:46 5 Apr 2024

Middlesborough won't be on sky, those game week games already announced a few weeks ago

Huddersfield seems likely to be on TV, but Sky need to make the decision on Monday 29th April, so only us and Coventry will have 2 games left to play and all other teams one game.

I guess in the clubs eyes the more people that buy memberships the more revenue they receive so win - win for them.

This was for Norwich:

"Town have added an additional sales restriction for tickets to the Saturday 16th December Norwich City derby at Portman Road, which go on sale on Monday from 10am.

The game, which is being shown live on Sky Sports kicking off at 12.30pm, has been selected as an A grade fixture.

Super Blues Members who aren’t season ticket holders will need to have purchased at least three home league match tickets from the start of the 2022/23 season up to and including the Swansea City game earlier in the month."

no different to how the home games. which we are selling out, work today.

would imagine it would go similar to the Norwich home game though, need to have bought tickets for a few home games over last couple of seasons + be a member to qualify.

should have been instant when you purchased the ticket.

I inquired with the club myself recently as I am in a similar position. No points due to no membership but have attended some away games.

The confirmed to me that even if I were to buy a membership now then no backdated points would be added for away games already purchased within this season. Only the 5 points added that everyone gets for buying a membership. Which should carry over to next season.

So, if you buy a membership now and another one at the start of season. You will start the season on 10 points ( assuming you don't buy any further away tickets this season after you buy the membership)

Don't really understand why the club didn't give the option to buy the membership with the season tickets and add to DD. I think a lot more would be sold if it worked out to only an extra 3 quid a month on a DD.

Moore- impact Woods vs Lawrence
at 13:22 2 Feb 2024

yeah, he was coming back from injury so was different circumstances. Also, think he still very young. Can only have been early 20's.

Go on Moore, bag 10 goals in 18 appearances of whatever it is that is left and see us to promotion.

You are the first person who has mention what I have been thinking.

We know that Moore is a good player, but we only have a relative short time left for the second half of the season. Less than half the games. I hope he doesn't end up being underwhelming like Chris Wood.

My Gut says he will score some important goals and have a positive impact. I just hope he doesn't take too long to get up to fitness in our system.

The whole away ticket points system thing - is it fair?!
at 12:20 21 Dec 2023

I guess in modern times it would be virtual queue online.

Personally i don't see why they don't give at least a portion of tickets to 'first come first served' in a virtual online sale . The same as everyone has to buy concert tickets or even other sporting tickets. Everyone has a chance to get tickets then.

I wanted tickets to the NFL this year. Have been for the past 5 years. Got unlucky with my place in the queue and didn't get tickets. demand outstripped supply, I didn't get a ticket but I had an equal chance and I have to accept it.

Am I reading this correctly, that in the history of the championship only 2 teams have got more than our 28 points after the first 11 games ( one of them being Leicester this season)

That is a crazy stat

I would assume just something like a driving license to prove name and address of the person who purchased the tickets. IE, the name and address that is on the envelope if they send it out in the post.

Ticket touting is you buying a ticket and selling to someone else. So, if your mate bought a ticket and you turn up at an away ground to collect it you won't get it, as you won't have ID to prove you are them.

Buying a ticket using your name / account but exploiting the system to use someone elses membership because their account is linked to yours is not ticket touting, you bought the tickets, but is probably morally wrong.

Read the article carefully. It says they will check to ensure the purchaser is the one collecting tickets.

If he is your friend, then presumably you are linked to each others accounts on ITFC Tickets webpage. This means if he wants to use your membership to purchase an away ticket he can make the purchase but using your membership through his account.

He is then the ticket purchaser and will not be breaking any ticket touting laws. Although arguably breaking moral code of building up points for you when you aren't attending but I won't get involved in that debate.

I know someone who has a season ticket last year + this year, went to 12 away games last year. Didn't have a membership because he didn't need once for the away games he wanted to attend. Bought a membership this year and only has 5 points, because he didn't have a membership last year.

whereas i hear people who had a silver membership, which was effectively for home tickets i think, starting off on 10 points + because they had a memerbship last year + this year and went to a couple of away games (as well as a couple of home games). So someone who attended 35 games last year has less than half the points as someone who went to 4 games :)

I think season ticket holders should have a priority compared to people who do not hold a season ticket, yes I do.

I think everyone should build up away points, regardless of membership. So, if you are a season ticket holder that goes to many away games then you receive priority over those people who less frequently. I don't think that can be argued with.

QPR away got to 5+ points (Just), so someone who doesn't attend any home games could have managed to buy an away ticket for that game, if they were quick enough, by paying a £40 membership fee and having higher priority than a season ticket holder who will attend at least 23 home games. This member may only attend a handful of away games in the entire season.

Away Tickets
at 16:35 5 Sep 2023

Very clearly a divisive subject, judging by the number of comments each time one of these threads appears on this subject.

It is clearly a money making exercise from the club that will create a core group of a few thousand fans who attend or whom buy tickets for others to all away games. Unless something is done to stop the latter.

Personally, I think a non season ticket holder buying a membership should get the equal priority to away tickets to a season ticket holder (as well as top priority for home tickets)

A season ticket holder who buys a membership then gets the higher level priority through the extra 5 points or however they wish to do it

Anybody who buys an away ticket gets a point, regardless of 'paid' membership (would argue that having a season ticket should be the membership considering the amount of money you are committing to ITFC each year)
