Rather than worrying about who to buy next, why don't our coaching staff train and improve our players we already have. I know it is a radical idea, but it used to work.
Do people really think the players we have got in or are desparately trying to get in are so much better than the ones that we already had?

I can see a loan like Shittu coming in after the transfer window closes. Prem clubs are more happy to let people go on emergency loans once there is no chance of selling them.

" I think that's a very good point, and could add the Swedish, South American and East European leagues too! Swedish clubs manage to go over to South America and bring back some half-decent players - not top Premier League players as they all go to Man.U., but players probably good enough for the Championship. In defence of our scouting system we did get Civelli, but surely there are many good and cheap options out there? (Work permits can be a problem, of course.)
