Tottenham Interested in Klug
Tottenham Interested in Klug

TWTD understands that Tottenham are interested in adding former Blues coach Bryan Klug to their staff. Klug was axed after a lengthy spell at Portman Road earlier this season.

Sheffield United have also shown interest in the 49-year-old, who is understood to still be on gardening leave from Town with his contract due to expire in the summer.

Klug, a former youth and reserves player with the Blues, ran the Town academy from its inception in 1998 until he became Jim Magilton’s first team coach in 2006, switching to a head of football development role a year ago before taking charge of the reserves between the summer and his axing.

good coach deserves a chance, we needed a fresh approach so he had to leave us.

Not surprised others are interested in him, good coach, shame we couldn't find him a role.

please, Kluggy, don't go to Spurs. Redknapp - and the Spurs fans - don't deserve you. Mind you, wouldn't be too happy about you joining the northern Budgies.

good luck to Klug, but I had heard that Paul Hart was a shoe-in for the job.

everyone states what a great coach he is, but how come the club has been so stale and stood still in recent years and the kids coming through have been minimal. Maybe like Burley he needed to be moved on for a new challenge as he himself had become stale and was no longer productive. Interesting that our results seem to have picked up since he was moved on and McParland came in, or am I misreading all of this????

I'm not sure we can blame Klug for the failure of youth players to come through, as he has been Assistant Manager and Reserve Team manager in recent seasons rather than working specifically with young players. I am not at the club and cannot judge perhaps, but it seems a shame that we have been paying Klug's wages for months but don't even want him to come into work.

Can't see that Klug's football ethos will fit in at Bumhole Lane, but all the best to the bloke.
