Everton Eyeing Dyer Move Friday, 18th Mar 2011 23:13
Everton boss David Moyes could look to sign Town loanee Kieron Dyer on a permanent basis in the summer if he proves his fitness while with the Blues. The 32-year-old’s contract at West Ham is up at the end of June and Dyer appears certain to leave Upton Park.
Moyes is keeping an eye on the midfielder during his loan spell at Town with a view to taking the former England man to Goodison Park in the summer on a short-term contract if the former Newcastle man can stay fit in the weeks to come.
Dyer is with the Blues for an initial month but hasn’t ruled out a longer term switch, although a last hurrah in the Premier League is likely to postpone any permanent return home to Town for the Ipswich-born midfielder.

Do you rate anyone who plays for us or are you a permanent Victor Meldrew type?

Sounds like pure speculation, but like good speculation it makes sense–Moyes likes his ball-playing midfielders and is operating on a tight budget.

He was West Hams player of the month for the begining of this season so hes deffiently got the quality to be a regular in the prem, but then again this is League Cup semi finalists Ipswich Town were talking about, so you never know, he might (and should) choose us.

Everton on a short term pay as you play deal or a full time contract at the club you supposedly love We'll see where Dyer's heart really is I must admit it seems a funny player to be linked with at Everton, Moyes tends to prefer combative players who battle for every inch

I would love Kieron to sign on this Summer. There are not many players I would keep on. Bullard and Kieron would be two I would try to sign up.

I'm sure if he signed for Ipswich it would be a low contract plus extras depending on No. of games played / results, same for Bullard.

He spends a great deal of time in ipswich which he can do at west ham honestly cant see him going up north to end his career......

Bullard is the one we need to sign.

itfc1981 :- Agree. If fully fit, I think Bullard edges it.

Kieron's been way too injury prone over the last 10 years for us to take a gamble on..if he's that determined about rejoining us,then maybe on a "pay as you play" deal?..would be fairer to all concerned. Jimmy Bullard is my first choice signing this summer.

If he were to sign for us he would be taking a massive pay cut. Same for bullard. I wouldnt be that suprised if they dont sign for us in the summer.

We need huge clearout we just need to keep a few like McAulay, Norris, Wickham and lets get some decent signings in if we can get a deal for Dyer/Bullard on pay as you play fantastic.
broomfield123 added 08:46 - Mar 19
I would have a clear out and keep the decent youngsters and get shot of the others and bring in players who want to play for us.If most peaple performed like the senior players have this season in their jobs then they would have been bounced out the door

tractorblue99: I agree. In fact I would be pretty surprised if either sign for us in the summer because I think they will get better offers elsewhere. But I hope I'm wrong.

Bullard over Dyer any day Dyer done nothing that Hyam wouldnt have done on Tuesday
bluelady added 09:24 - Mar 19
Agree with bullard too on and off the pitch a better signing seems to add stability, however dyer seems more likely realistically its his home after all.
brogansnose added 11:22 - Mar 19
He has struggled to stay fit all his career and it doesnt get any easier at his age. Big gamble for anyone as Lightening says 'pay as you play'.
denhamblue added 11:42 - Mar 19
both bullard and dyer will not be here next season. All this im looking for target stuff is the usual talk.I have given up bothering who (IF ANY),we sign its all to predictable.

Good!....it's about time some of the cretinous bunglechops on here stopped living in the past! Dyer was 12 yrs ago....time to move onwards and upwards! IMHO....KOYB

What does KOYB mean? I always say COYB, as in Come On You Blues, but I like any alternative

Sorry, like everyone else I am a very big fan of Dyer - when he was here previously that is. Bottom line is he;s injury prone as proved again yesterday. Would be too big a risk for a Championship club. Time for all parties to move on!
