After letting Murphy and Fulop go, knowing Stockdale can be recalled - it would be madness if PJ hasn't got something lined up - and better than Wright. PJ must be aware that ALB is a terrible keeper - why on earth PJ gave him a two year deal is beyond me.

Lee-Barrett was doing OK at the time Jewell offered him a new contract, and he was in the first team ahead of Fulop, on a massive salary, and Murphy, also no doubt well paid. I expect he was fairly cheap to sign up, but I have since lost all confidence in Lee-Barrett due to poor performances.

Stockdale is a constant worry due to this 24-hour recall clause. I am not sure we should rely on a loanee like that in goal, especially as we have no chance of signing him permanently. He just let in five goals too.

I envy Southampton a bit having a good, solid keeper like Kelvin Davis. It's a shame we can't get someone like that who could with with us years and whom we could build a team in front of.

His plan is to remain a free agent after the window closes. He is happy as long as he is training and this situation suits him. There is ALWAYS a keeper crisis at club and being a free agent means he can be signed after the deadline.

It did turn out to be a bad move, but thats with the benefit of hindsight.
