When Waghorn hit the crossbar he was wiped out by a defender trying to block the shot, no one appealed at the time or since. If that challenge had happened on the half-way line after a pass it would of been a free-kick and at least a yellow card possibly even a straight red.

A penalty wasn't given because he had already kicked the ball I would guess.
To be honest I didn't expect that ref to give us anything. He was awful the whole game. Even the lino seemed to favour Sheffield!
