Ah you missed the point a good (or lucky) investor knows when to get out of the fall and not try and ride it throughout the whole of Feb. Ok profit is less but as they say £10 isn't as good as £20 but it's better than £5 and certainly better than -£3 |  | | |

A good investor also knows when to buy into the markets. Most professionals (what do they know) see this correction as a buying opportunity, and this was borne out by the rise in the US yesterday. Equally no one ever went bust by taking profits. | | | |

I do wish people would stop referring to it as a ‘crash’. It’s nothing more than a correction after a bullish few months. It happens more often than people would think. The underlying fundamentals of the global equities market are strong. |  |
