Couple of nice pubs directly opposite Europa hotel. The one on the left (Robinson’s)?? has a back bar that usually has a band playing those fiddle things. The one on the right (Crown)?? is stunning decor wise.
“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.”
Boris Johnson canvassing in Henley, 2005.
In my opinion. Anywhere round cathedral quarter is your best bet great bars and restaurants. The points is also a great bar with constant live Irish music and dancing and a good whiskey selection. I'm also a fan of Laverys good bar with a big smoking area pool tables upstairs a back bar with occasional live music. Connected is woodworkers which if you are into you craft beers is a good call. kellys cellars is also a great Irish bar you get the perfect pint in there in my eyes.
