I had an old mate come up from Portsmouth, to see the match and have a few beers. Never have I been so embarrassed!! Total lack of ideas and desire. I don't think the original poster was saying it was the worst in 40years, but his premise that this football is embarrassing is spot on.
It is fecking embarrassing!
I come on this board and read the continual justifications and mitigations for this awful football, and it is very frustrating. 0-0 and some craft and energy would have been acceptable. But bar a promising 10-15mins at the start (in reality more long cross ball but at least it was exciting) we served up really sub-standard, clueless, technically inept play.
I went with a lapsed blue, some neutrals and my son. And there was no other word than I felt embarrassed having persuaded them to come and watch such mediocre dross. |  |
