I'm sure we were all praising... 09:41 - Mar 21 with 1171 viewsbluebud

..Jeremy Corbyns Facebook impact at the last election and his 'reach' into the youth vote, the Youthquake no less (which didn't actually exist).

Can't see much difference between this and the current data headlines. Sure there's been confirmed rogue data scraping but I'm sure that's not unique.

And what's your view on Jeremy Corbyn's Facebook impact?

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

...I think it wasn't big enough.

I just find it interesting the difference in reaction between JC, who was bringing a wind of change and energizing the youth vote and comparing it to the current fallout......which as far as I'm concerned is not really any different (apart from the confirmed data grab - which nobody could rule out wether it's happened before in other elections anyway ).

So what was the difference between Corben and Corbyn's experiences?

Isn't the issue that Cambridge Analytics used Facebook to gather data, and then sold it on?

I'd imagine that Labour would have sourced the data directly?
