I can't help but wonder whether Jon Walters had some input into the change of manager.

We know that ME personally contacted him to bring him to Portman Road for his loan spell, which indicates that they are at least reasonably friendly.

Walters will have been able to give the inside track into goings on under PH's tenure. Although he left Stoke before Lambert's arrival, he will still know plenty of people there and will have a good idea of how Lambert was perceived by the footballing staff at Stoke.

Get your thinking but doubt any input. Evans is involved in all the transfer dealings so wouldnt read too much into him speaking to the player.

Im sure he would have spoken to many people and more likely Harry, Mick, PJ and co.
