Another reason why Brexit is us losing control 09:49 - Mar 14 with 743 viewsWeWereZombies

I am not sure that the 'loss of face' attitude of this article is correct (some might say the loss of face happened in June 2016 but I reckon the ordinary European has more breadth to their opinion if talked to reasonably) but it is worth reflecting that our future is now more in the hands of the EU than it has ever been:

Interesting that the Beeb have not put the view from Spain in there.

'EU Council President Donald Tusk has said he will appeal to EU countries to be open to a "long extension" to negotiations if the UK decides to rethink its Brexit strategy.

BBC Brussels reporter Adam Fleming says his comments have put a long extension “firmly on the table”.

This will probably be welcome news for the prime minister, whose strategy has been to urge MPs to support her deal or risk a delay to Brexit, he says.

However, he adds that Mr Tusk’s move could still cause problems on the EU side, which is not united on the prospect of an extension or how long it should be.

He says Mr Tusk will now be speaking to EU leaders to attempt to find a consensus on the issue.'

They are apparently going to offer 4 years which will cause total meltdown as it's plenty of time to have the next GE with a commitment for a second referendum and then we will remain.

Cunning plan all round.

Well, cunning plan in Baldrick terms maybe but for many who voted to Leave and some of us who voted to Remain it is going to cause such a stinking loss of faith in our current crop of politicians that the smell will be unbearable. The silver lining to this dark cloud may be a new generation who have seen through this mess and can bring about genuine change. Would it be wrong to have a blanket policy (and I am 63) of not voting for anyone over 50?

It will take 27 to agree won't it?
I watched a non BBC news slot from Brussels where German MEP's made it pretty clear they did not want the Uk to get an extension and will work to make sure UK MEP's are not allowed to stand in the EU elections.

Another MEP made it clear that if an extension is granted Spain will want to bring Gibralter into it and other countries may have other things to be a part of the negotiations that were excluded for brevity last time.

Now it seems there will be a 'Meanigful vote ' 3 becuase the Attnorney General has been persuaded to re-write his legal opinion.

So the tory executive can have as many votes as they like to get their esult the plebs and sefrs meanwhile will do as they are told

That would probably be more undemocratic than having a 2nd referendum in the first, I mean second, place! :-)

Just one small problem; sell their houses to who, Ben? Fcking Aquaman?
