Didn't he walk away from other clubs he was involved with. Blackburn Rovers comes to mind, believe he just upped and left although don't know how much of his contract still had to run for that particular instance.
I don't believe as the author mentioned the team shall go another 10 games without victory but for argument sake and supposing such a thing came to pass Lambert will simply stay in position and Evans will, well, do what Evans does best i.e. back the manager until the absolute worst when he has no alternative but to terminate an employment.
That four / five year extension just seems in a word, belligerent. Not the actions of someone with a rational mind, hard to comprehend the reasoning behind it. |  | | |
