Bearing in mind the next World Cup is not at the usual time of year, you could do this.
1. Don't restart this season until you would have started next - early August. That would take us to the end of October for everything done.
2. Next season starts Jan 2021. Runs until November to allow six week break for Euros in summer.
3. 2022 season starts in January again, runs until October. World Cup in Nov/Dec.
4. Back to normal August 2023 for 23/24 season.
Of course, this does mean not much of a close season winter 2021, and an eight month one in 2023, but we are in pretty much unchartered territory here.
It also assumes we're out of the woods by August. Which might be a bit optimistic. [Post edited 14 Mar 2020 9:11]
