Stuart Pearce isn’t far off for me. But yes sansom was a great defender and great bombing down the wing.

Sansom also had gambling problems. I was told that he was keen to move from Crystal Palace to Arsenal because the signing-on fee would pay off his gambling debts. I guess he has an addictive personality.
