Not quite.Bailey in goal. Elsworthy instead of Gates, and Crawford partnering Mariner.

Also Hunter and Beattie rather than Osman and Butcher for me.

Don't think John Elsworthy would get in my best ever team but he would be one of several that would be close to it. Same with Alan Brazil because I would likely have Trevor Whymark in the team.

On reflection I would have Hunter and Butcher as Centre backs and Beattie at left back. Whymark definitely next best as striker.

If I was playing Mick Mills at RB I would probably have Butcher at LB.

Alternative is Burley at RB and Mills LB but I cannot split Hunter and Beattie in the middle although The Beat probably better at LB than Butch.
