Do we really think that ME will do the right thing? If so, based on what, a quote from Phil? Please give me more hope.....

Unfortunately, while we sit in or around the play offs and only two points from automatic I think I'm going to be disappointed

It's funny speaking to a couple of old friends yesterday (neither of them Town fans) when I said we need to sack him the response was similar 'wtf your top 6 and still have 3 qtrs of the season to go, could understand sacking him if bottom 6'

I guess fans from other clubs just look at the league position of other teams rather than what's behind it. But I can see ME thinking the same when it comes to sacking PL

Which is exactly why it won't be until March or something like that when its mathematically impossible to get promoted and this break clause comes into play saving ME some money. The fact that looking forward we stand to lose far more is probably going to be lost on the hierarchy.

Even a layman with little football knowledge would look at this situation and think, mmmm, these have a knock on effect financially the longer it persists :

- out of all cup competitions year on year before Christmas
- 2 wins against anyone in the top 10 in the last 57 league one fixtures
- 4 defeats in 5
- 2 key players handing in transfer requests
- significant contracts expiring this summer allowing star talent to be free agents
- mathematically out of the top six should clubs below win their games in hand

Poll: Who would be your managerial preference between these two?
