I said similar at the time but even the initial appointment of Lambert was ridiculous. He was no longer that good q manager that it was worth the risk of this fallout with his ex norwich connections.
I said at the time his embarrassing attention seeking antics at Norwich where we lost 3-0 to our rivals who didn't even need to get out of second gear was bigged up by our fans at the time - it was pathetic.
Sorry, I'm getting off tangent. The point is there wasn't a single period where appointing Lambert looked like the right or even vaguely sensible decision to me. I know some of you desperately defended him but unfortunately this was all pretty easily foreseeable.

We're just about to have our Bryan Gunn appointment in Dyer, because nostalgia is a thing Evans can sell while he can get away with it.
That's not a fair comparison surely?
Gunn spent a significant share of his time at Norwich in Corporate eventing for goodness' sake.
Kieron has been more than keen to dedicate himself to coaching through the ranks here.
He is slowly but surely earning his experience and is a stark comparison.
I do not believe he is ready to bring on a club like Town yet, but at 42 he's not a kid either. He would do well to continue to develop our younger players for now, but it would be good to see him work with the first team in the not too distant as assistant.
