Edwards said much the same in his interview. But with Edwards and Nolan coming back from injuries and still looking to get up to speed (and neither are exactly prolific anyway), I don't see where else the goal threat was supposed to come from. League One player at best, could barely make an impact in the Championship. In fact, he could barely stand up in the Championship. His performance at Millwall the day Lambert was watching from the stands was one of the most laughable I have seen from a professional footballer. Except no one was laughing.
Doesn't seem capable of playing as a lone striker with our current personnel. If someone is willing to buy, snap their hands off.
But, as someone quite rightly says earlier, the quality of League One forwards is pretty average. Sky were raving about Charlie Wyke last night and the Sunderland fans were far from impressed with him when he arrived.
