Pitch updates 16:42 - Feb 9 with 631 viewshatch

Clearly this will be the focus of the next few hours. Posh have just tweeted photos of their ground and one shows the pitch uncovered - seems a bit early for me but I guess they need the lines painting and goalposts put up.

The good news is there's no settled snow - the bad news is clearly the temperature .

Temperatures are about to drop below freezing there where they'll be -3 at kick off. This may be a dense question but how quickly does a pitch freeze?

I can't see how this game will be played tonight, it may get a start but we'll probably lose 5 players to injury then have it abandoned 20 minutes in.

It's been hovering at around zero or less all day but the ground has remained soft, snow melting. Air temp vs ground temp and all that? It's witchcraft I tells ye.

And knowing our luck, we'll probably be 2-0 up at the time as well.

I'm keeping an eye on Accrington v Plymouth. They've kicked off and it's -2 there - I suspect their pitch started from a much colder starting point without heaters too.

Maybe we'll get to half time after all.
